I believe McDota is well known in Segamat as it always in the recommended list.
The fried chicken taste is classic taste, without any special flavor, but yet it still taste good. The chicken is crunchy at the outside and juicy in the inside. I got a chicken that recent fried which it was still much warm.
Not to mention the mashed potato taste great as well, with smooth texture taste and good balance in the sauce and the mashed potato.
I ordered a combo 2 set which comes with a fried chicken, mashed potato, coleslaw, rice, an unknown sauce (could be like curry?) and drink. The rice was at room temperature which brought down a bit the overall experience. But after adding the sauce, the rice became more delicious with the fried chicken.
The bun taste good also.
I ordered coffee and because it is from the machine, it tasted exactly what a coffee machine like, nothing special.
The atmosphere is nostalgic as it gives you an old restaurant vibes, but it is still clean. Yet, it was a bit dark during afternoon, perhaps the light was not strong enough.
Anyhow, the overall is good. Worth to visit again...
Read moreThis place holds a special place in my heart, transporting me back to the early '90s when KFC hadn’t even made its debut in Segamat. My first experience in a fast-food restaurant like this was truly unforgettable.
Fast forward to today, and I'm thrilled to see this gem still standing strong! I can only hope it continues to thrive for many more years ahead. While some might say the flavors here are on par (or even lower) with other competitors, to me, it boasts a unique signature that brings back a wave of nostalgia every time I present here.
As for the ambiance, I wish it could reflect the charm of those earlier days, perhaps with a little renovation to bring back its former glory. This establishment is so much more than just a restaurant—it’s a cherished part of my journey through life, shared with...
Read moreFantastic little place in a little town. Home made "fast food" with a vintage feel that can hold its own against McDonald's, KFC, Subway, and other fast-food outlets. Mainly serves fried chicken with a variety of sides including Malaysian nasi lemak and normal rice. The unintentional vintage feel gives a homely and "kampung" feel. I think for Segamat people this place serves then best fried chicken. Service is good and even though run by only 3 people, is not slow. Fried chicken is just yummy as it's just fried fresh, steaming hot, meat is juicy and the skin is crackling crispy. May be a bit salty for some but tastes...
