Seong Hai Kee Restaurant — Restaurant in Johor

Well for starters the restaurant was booked bec it is big n nice ..booked for my son's wedding reception...but who would expect that we would be shortchanged on the day of the event..Firstly we were given torn n tattered table cloths ...only after we complained the table cloths were changed...Secondly we were not allowed to test or check the PA system n lighting one day prior to the event..after repeated requests..we were still denied to try out the system...leading to the fact that the PA system was blaring n noisy at front tables ..the Sound 'man' was asleep n not helpful...and lightings were not maximised...Thirdly the toilets were wet n slippery with no toilet tissue available...in spite of being told all will be well for the dinner...it was all the same during the dinner. Fourthly the AC was turned off at 10.30 pm...while we were still taking photos with family...What was promised was 4 hours..if event started at 7pm ...then it should be left on till 11 pm..but this was not the case..Very...

Really bad experience. went earlier, the fish wasn’t fresh at all. it was overcooked and smelled bad. We told the waitress, and she just took the dish away without saying anything. When I asked the lady boss about it, she just said they were already steaming another fish, even though we were clearly done eating and ready to leave. No apology or anything, and honestly, the rest of the food wasn’t great either. for such a big restaurant, I expected better. even hawker centers do a better job...

The quality of this restaurant drops. The food is tasteless and service is so slow despite a normal day. Ordered steam Garoupa and so tasteless and overcooked. The homemade beancurd is too blend and very average . The sambal sotong is the best so far but sotong not so fresh. Vegetable is average and rather blend. The red wine chicken is rather too spicy with too much ginger. The famous spare ribs with flame standard drop with shrinking size of the ribs! Overall standard is...
