Restoran Sri Cahaya — Restaurant in Johor

It was Eid season, my family and I were starving since we hadn't been eating lunch as it was already 6pm and this was the only place that open. When we have been seated, we saw dozens of house flies, flying and perching around us and our tables. I also noticed that there's no flies trap in this restaurant. However, being aware of the situation, we still decided to eat here, since we were famished and there's no other restaurants that opened, as we decided to be optimistic towards the restaurant hygiene quality. We ate Tom yam, daging masak merah, ayam kunyit and some omlette. Although the food's taste was decent, we were amazed and grateful for their fast service as they brought out our orders fast. Maybe because we were the only customers during that time in the establishment. Unfortunately, during our food enjoyment, the flies were everywhere, buzzing, flying, and perching around our foods and plates. One of them even managed to 'take a bath' in one one of our drinks. Nevertheless, not really care about the flies since we kept our optimism high towards the restaurant, we finished our meal and continued our journey back to Kuala Lumpur. Unfortunately, the worst happened. My family and I got food poisoning few hours later. We had to stop several times to do our business and even stop at the side of the highway to throw up. It was a total nightmare. As a result, I had to write this review to ensure that everybody who decided to come here to be very careful with their food, since I read that there are many good reviews about this restaurant. I guess luck wasn't on our side that day. As a conclusion, this is why I only rate 1star and it is for the restaurant's fast service. Thanks...

Food was alright, nothing to shout about. RM103 for 6 pax including ikan pari bakar (RM38). Note that 5 pax are warga emas (just to be clear, i am not one of the warga emas 😂) so lauk portion was very small from the get go.
