HORRIBLE!!! This is like my worst experience dining in an Indian restaurant. The nightmare started when mom and I walked in and not a single person greeted us or ushered us to our table. There was only ONE other table occupied so IDK what's the excuse. It took about 15mins for the waiter to take our order. If we didn't call, he probably would've just ignored us. I already wanted to leave at this point. When ordering, we asked if the Naan portion could be shared between 2 ppl but he said "1 person 1 piece" which indicated that it was just a single piece. So we ordered cheese naan and garlic cheese naan paired with 1/2 Tandoori chicken and a sweet Lassi. Probably they had to go milk the cow to obtain the ingredients for my Lassi cuz that took 25 mins to arrive. The waiter prepared the drink and left it at the counter and the other waiters or manager or whoever walked past it so many times yet didn't pick it up and serve it. My mom had to call and ask only then did it come and by then the food also arrived. We were surprised to see the Naan came in 5pcs instead of just 1 piece like the waiter mentioned and felt like we could have just shared it instead of ordering 2 sets. The Naan was so hard and crispy totally unlike Naan and more like roti canai. There was no taste of garlic or even cheese. And the chicken was so hard, flavourless and dry. I don't even understand how can tandoori chicken be flavourless. It was so unsatisfactory that we had to complain. The chef told us that the chicken was actually put in the oven instead of the tandoor so that's why it was hard. Hello?? What rubbish is this?? Upon payment they charged us the full amount to which we felt was absurd to pay for something we could barely finish so they waived off the chicken and mumbled an apology. And u think that's the worst part? The Indian waiter or manager was freely using vulgar words while talking to his staff and we could hear it so clearly. I am completely appalled by the lack of service and food quality in this place. This will definitely be my first and last visit. If you do value customer's feedback, I do hope you improve else you will lose all your customers thanks...
Read moreWe recently dined at Suriyan Restaurant in Johor and had an exceptional experience. The dishes we tried were absolutely delightful. The Mushroom 65 and Chicken 65 were perfectly spiced and crispy, making for a great start to our meal. The Mushroom Varuval was rich and flavorful, a true testament to the chef's expertise. The highlight of our meal was the Drumsticks Biryani. The biryani was aromatic, with tender drumsticks that were cooked to perfection. Additionally, the Gobi Capsicum was a delicious blend of cauliflower and capsicum, seasoned just right. The ambience of the restaurant was warm and inviting, providing a comfortable dining atmosphere. The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who made sure we had everything we needed.Overall, Suriyan Restaurant offers a fantastic dining experience with its delicious food, great ambience, and excellent service. Read moreWe actually just stumbled upon this restaurant and were curious about what food they served, although we had a bit of doubt thinking they only do catering. Thankfully, Jot, who welcomed us in, clarified that they are also a restaurant. She was helpful in guiding us to what dishes we should order, and even when our QR Code Scanner app on our phones weren't working, she willingly lent her phone for us to use in ordering.
Food was served efficiently and was very tasty. We had freshly baked mozzarella naan, crispy fried lamb (our first time trying it and would definitely have it again, and chicken pakora which was enjoyable along with the mint sauce. We were filled! Even the drinks were delicious.
Actually as I was just finishing this review, she even kindly served complimentary Gulab Jamun! Very awesome service and food! Plan on coming back again, hopefully to try their buffet...
