Salam lebaran to everyone.
Since its hari raya, the was no much shops open. Hence I decided to come to this restaurant for thai cousine. Before that, I called the restaurant and the waiter picked up and mentioned there was no people. She added that the service is quick as I need to rush for flight.
Once arrived, I ordered what 4 people could eat. Surprisingly, after around 40 minutes the food arrived to which made me thinking of their services.
I noticed that the meals are not what im expecting. The vegies cut quite big, the otak-otak is something i could imagine wrapped in aluminiom foil but it wasnt. Halfway through the dining, I found a roasted lalat on the fish plate. Instead of complaining to the waiter, I decided to stop eating the fish.
The tomyam bowl (no picture) also dent, hard to scope, no small bowls and the prawn smells bad.
I want to express my disappointment towards this restaurant. With the price, you are expecting something better especially for someone outside Kedah to experience.
I saw lots of “popular” people come on your archieve board. My advice to the restaurant, please...
Read moreWe had a wonderful dinner at Asiatic Thai Cuisine in Alor Setar. The restaurant serves a wide variety of Thai dishes, and overall the flavors were very enjoyable. Most of the dishes here lean toward a sweeter taste profile compared to what we usually have in Thailand, but everything was well-prepared and tasty.
The highlights for me were:
Stir-fried chicken with salted egg – absolutely delicious, crispy yet rich in flavor, and something I would definitely order again.
Stir-fried vegetables with shrimp – fresh, crunchy, and flavorful.
Steamed curry (Hor Mok) – not too spicy, creamy, and nicely balanced.
Clams with lime, chili, and pepper – this was unique and surprising! I’ve never had this version before, but it was refreshing and worth trying.
Mango sticky rice – the mango had a slightly different aroma compared to Thailand, but still paired well with the sweet coconut sticky rice.
The food presentation was attractive, the portions were generous, and the service was friendly. A good spot if you want to enjoy Thai food in Malaysia with some interesting...
