Jom Ikan Bakar Langkawi — Restaurant in Kedah

On this date, at about 11am i had been eating here. First, it was not a pleasant experience at all, and food was not great at all and the said 'ikan bakar' was hurriedly grilled and thus, the unproperly grilled fish resulted in stinky, smelly fish. The lady who stood in the front of the shop fanning the bbq fish n others could have shown friendlier face rather than shouting n giving orders to the two boys running errands. As we took our rice n felt very hungry, one of them should have at least cut chillies with soy sauce( asked three times, thr lady answered curtly that it is not ready yet) rather than make us eat the plain grilled fish without any savoury sambal huhu. With 2 plates of rice plus a half plate rice with an egg, no vegi nothing with that "lonely" ikan bakar, the lady must have been mad at us for asking the sambal for three times.The shocking amout I had to pay rm56 summarizes it all. Will never visit this resto again n wont recommend it to anyone either😢😢😢

Located near the Langkawi airport, this place is famous for the ikan bakar and a wide array of nasi melayu dishes. There are easily 50 dishes there, a lot of meat products like daging masak lemak, daging masak kunyit, masak merah, ayam bakar and etc. when I arrived at around 1pm, most of the vegetables were already almost finished. One of the dishes I like the most was the lala kepah masak lemak. The spiciness was on point, coconut milk was not too thick. It goes well with rice.

Nak tegur sikit pasal ayam goreng. The fried chicken. The marinate was barely on the skin only. I think it was inadequately marinated. The meat is almost bland.

The sambal belacan was pretty good. Spicy and flavourful.
