Atma Alam Batik Art Village — Attraction in Kedah

What a wonderful place to spend our time! I did their batik painting workshop, I was the only person in the giant studio. For RM35 I got to choose a pre-waxed cotton piece (12x12"), with small vials of primary colours, brushes and water, so I could create my own colour palette. After I was (finally) done, which took longer than their suggested 30 minutes, they blew dried my work, then wrapped it carefully so I can put it in my luggage. So much fun! They also have a huge boutique with quite an array of batik wear and decorative pieces at very reasonable prices. It's a great place for young & old if you don't want any...

Our experience looking for some souvenirs in Langkawi for friends and selves...travel all the way up north to teluk yu ..thought we will see some good options, selections of handicrafts...to my surprise..overpriced. travel back to Padang Mat Sirat to pick up our loss luggage..stopover at Atma Alam...my good lord. Very nice place, well presented, clean...the best of all ...hand drawn Batik collection were top perfect and not ver prices.... The place for everything batik - bags, shoes, fabric, home decor, scarf, twills. Items are displayed neatly and a very clean environment. Staff are warm and friendly, happy to assist you without any pressure to sell.

Hardly write reviews but I feel this team deserves attention. Spent 2h here and they are so patient 😆 Will come by when I'm back to Langkawi ❤️ Prices are the best you can find. Designs are great!
