Kinmizu — Restaurant in Kedah

Booked the place and went for dinner at 7pm. Thought of having a pleasant eating out with family members during this CNY but got a shock of waiting for an hour before the first person was served. By the time we finished our dinner, it was past 9pm. The service was terribly slow. Each person's serving comes at about 7-8 minutes intervals with the first person having his order served at around 8pm. By the time, the last person (7th) receiving his order was almost 8.45pm. Besides slow service, the edamame comes together with a worm in it. Some of the food does not come up to expectation. When asked for a thermos flask of green tea to be placed on our table to refill on our own rather than to bother the owner nor take his time to serve us, he replied that he has only one thermos flask. Another fact that I would not return to this restaurant is that the place is not cool enough. Although I told the owner politely that the place is warm and to switch on the air conditioner, she replied that it is out of order which is a common excuse given by many restauranteurs not to switch on. Affordable and valuable Japanese restaurant located in a friendly neighbourhood. The portion of the food here is huge and price is affordable. One set is filling enough for 1 regular eater.

Salmon shioyaki wasn’t too salty and had a good sear to it and chicken teriyaki had a good char whilst not being burnt. The sets here come with a bowl of rice, miso soup, chawanmushi and fruits.

Agedashi tofu and deep fried ebi tempura was decent but not mind blowing. However, the saba shioyaki had a very strong fishy smell to it and beef teriyaki was too sweet for our liking. Hope to see some improvement.

A shop that didn't ready to serve food to their customer!! When I dine-in, there only served 2 tables. Yet, I still have to wait for 1hour without receive my food... Ok, let me share! The waiter (1 people) is good serving, yet, there are 4 chefs standing for 1hour without prepare food for customer!!!!!! Boss at there also not checking customer receive their food or not!!! Walk there walk here!!!

Ok, fine. But, may I know Zaru Soba need more than 1hour prepare?!!!!
