Asama Thai Food — Restaurant in Kedah

The food here was ok but to compare with the quality from a year ago, every food portion has shrink. the worse part is the staffs. They are rude, slow and cant accept customers asking basic questions.

I ordered Telur dadah, green curry, fried chicken and kangkung sambal. we waited around 10 minutes (normal) for them to serve us just the telur and rice. I thought its was ok , maybe the other dishes are coming. However, after waiting about 20 minutes, the fried chicken and kangkung came. alright acceptable. The worse part is they took 30 minutes for the green curry. So we have already finished our rice and the other dishes, so are we expected to drink the curry? Before the curry came, we ask the staff NICELY saying that where is our green curry as we have already finished our rice. They did not care whatsoever.

When i was paying, i can hear the staff talking to each other about my table being too fussy and asked us to go other places. Maybe its because I'm a different race? Maybe they are like this because they are already successful and dont need small customers' business. So ya, not...

I like eat the Thai food here. Regular customer actually. Now only write review as i think can give chance for improvement.

The service getting worst. Not the first time, sit long time only got workers come to serve. The table also not clean well. Waiting dishes also take quite some times, and the weird part is, those came after me get their food first. Is it clony or frens of workers get priority first?

Food : Tomyam Soup. Good that you improved. I remember last time, only taste of spicy. Now, better.

Food : Udang Goreng Petai Good, both prawn and petai combination & quantity fair and taste good.

Food : Sotong Goreng Ermm.. if you see from picture, each psc is quite big. But all is flour.. only 1 small pcs sotong. like one small sotong cut into few slides? Totally different from photo in menu. what happen ya? If sotong no more stock, can inform customer to change menu. I want eat sotong, not tepung.

Drinks : Thai Green Tea Errmmmm.. gula/ susu turun harga ke? Too sweet. Last...

Service: Don’t expect for good service, because all the workers seem like over relaxed at their ease. I guess that’s their standard.

The barista was over his dreamland, we were ordered a Bandung drinks, it took forever.

Even the waitress don’t even bother to nod when they taking the order, who the heck know u be acknowledged.

Languages, Bahasa Malaysia is not really good. I don’t think their understand us much.

Food: The food were alright, everything is sweet, even for the kangkung belacan. We ordered a seafood Tom yam soup, it was sweet and sour as well, not spicy as expected.

Mango kerabu taste oddly, not nice. Regret that we put that in the order list.

Bandung & thai cendol, i do not recommended. Another regretful thing. Disappointed.

However I rated 5 stars for the miangkham & coconut jelly. Those item up to real Thai standard.
