Went for our Iftar at the restaurant. Booked by phone and i would say the person receiving the call was very nice. We got room VIP3, which is a very comfortable and spacious area, just nice for our big family. The staff servicing us at Level 1 were nice and tried their best to accommodate to our needs. Now, let's talk about my least favorite things in the restaurant.
The free flow drinks are put in 3 small and beautiful containers. If you asked me, 3 not-so-big containers (cantik dipandang tapi tak cukup besar), could not accommodate most of the customers at Level 1. We in particular had to wait for the containers to be filled by the staff. But i am willing to forgive this until i went downstairs to make payment. I was served by this beautiful-but-lacking-in-courtesy girl at the counter. I tried to initiate a conversation by saying- dik, rasanya air free flow tu tak cukup. Container tu kecil tak cukup utk semua orang yang berbuka. The conversation was reciprocated with an emotionless reaction and silence. Marah kot saya complain but i was very polite to the cashier. Food was okay. We have eaten a better nasi arab somewhere else. Surau was also available for customers, so it is convenient.
Food was not warm and the plating was not prepared earlier. Oh ya, we did not get the arabic tea. Overall, the experience was so-so. Ambience was great. Will we go there again? I...
Read moreMy Apologies in advance for the long review.. Saying the truth coming from a middle eastern background, here is my honest review:
1- Zurbian or biryani lamb as you call special, the marination and method of cooking is wrong it's not even close to the original recipe and the portion was very small and it's very pricey!
2- Adni tea, very simple thing to do it's like our daily thing to drink back at home... Again wrong recipe and wrong method of making it's not even close to Adni tea.
3- Lamb chop was good, just some advice stick with one type of salad and stop recycling.
4- Chicken chop, was not bad too same comment as the previous one and please stick to better methods of chicken preserving ya.
5- Service can be better, keep it up... Smile more it's sedekah ya.
6- Ambience not bad, you lack the Arabian touch and I'm sure who ever reads this know what I mean.
I'm willing to assist you if you would like as, I'm an International Certified Food Consultant for many major big brands overall shukran...
Read moreI guess people come here to enjoy the ambience and not the food. There are other place serve more decent at a cheaper price. However, it is a enjoyable moment to have your meal with arabian-esque ambience. Private areas are provided. Ordered chicken rice set which came with two types of rice and two sets of quarter chicken. The rice was ok and the chicken was really tender, it came of the bone. Also ordered, Spaghetti Bolognese. It was salty like it just came out off the south china sea. Probably going to just stick with arabic food next time. Drinks: coke and arabic coffee. Well, coke is just coke. But i just pay a hell for a can of coke which is rm 4. Damn.... The coffee is somewhat like tea. Doesn't taste like the one i had in other arabic restaurant. I wonder if is it because of the type of coffee or because of how they blanch the ground coffee bean. What ever it is, the coffee is bad, it tasted like it was in the box for faaaaaaarrr too long.
The...
