Went here during MCO and you can only takeaway. Came here just to get a quick desert and bought the Banoffee cup. It tastes alright. But can definitely be better. The dulce de leche (caramel or toffee) should be more rich and creamy so that it stays put at the designated different layers in the cup instead of overflowing to the bottom of the cup. So you would have to scoop up the dulce de leche at the bottom to bring that goodness to your each spoonful bites. But overall it tastes ok imo.
By the way, back then I was just testing the staff if they know what the Banoffee displayed was and they don't really know well about it, and just told me that there is caramel inside it. But it's totally not their fault to not know those things because sometimes it was not made aware to them that they should get to know the dishes they serve.
So it'll be better if the staffs are well informed with the desserts and dishes served here. My quick suggestion would be that maybe the manager can create notes on the ingredients and overview of the foods and drinks served before start operating the café especially if there are new addition of dessert, etc. Because it's a good practice to be well versed with the things that you serve because most of the time, the customer would like to know what they're buying and eating especially those with allergies.
Other than that, the place looks nice and cozy to be in. But too bad, because of the MCO restriction I can't really dine in. But I would definitely come here again when the MCO is lifted to try their main dishes and other desserts. Hopefully by then the staffs can be equipped with better knowledge and awareness on the stuffs they serve and will definitely update...
Read moreThe pandan cake was lovely and sweet. The coffees are indeed cheap. I bought two lattes, one tasted watered down, the other tasted thin as if they've reused the grounds. The hot latte had latte art, but only to be spoiled when it was served with a stirer on it. Just amazing, all that hard work, to be spoiled by the barista herself. This is all disappointing given that its name suggests that it's a coffee place. Not a dessert place, tomyam place, or western place where coffee mediocrity can be excused. Even if target market makes up of students and younger adults (i.e. smaller wallet size), the cafe must take pride in its coffee.
Location wise, this is a cafe off a busy main road, parking is limited, no air conditioning but quite good ventilation and protection from the sun. Seating arrangement are cosy even though we are on the roadside.
Service was nothing special, no smiles, no interactions, no sense of urgency. Coffee and cake took longer than necessary so maybe better SOP is needed. And also better standards. Kota Bharu is full of competitors, I don't see how it can compete on price alone if it keeps serving slow...

Some of the food tasted different with the other outlets in Lundang. My advised that the outlets should probably maintained similar taste as they used probably the same material and same method. For example cheezy dip for nachos or fried fries. Cheezy dip at Lundang give more delightful taste and creamy compared to the kubang kerian outlet.
Overall the staffs are good and hardworking. I have encounter negative experiences few times with one of the staff at kubang kerian outlets. She have this sour face everytime I made an order at front desk. She made me repeat every order, increase volume of her voice with unpleasant and unwelcomed attitude intenttionaly. I hope that she will be advised properly. My intention is not to judge or penalise her but to improve her skills and expression...
