After decades of making roti canai by the road junction, they finally moved to settle at a shop lot.
Even though it is a mamak shop it has one of the fastest and friendliest service I've ever seen, even beating fancy restaurants! For Muslims, I can confirm this mamak is a Muslim and halal mamak shop.
The recommended food here is the roti canai, murtabak and mee goreng. The best time to eat here is after 7pm where (in my opinion) the best cooks enters their shifts.
The roti canai and roti telur are the staple food of this mamak restaurant and they are best ordered to be cooked fresh and it is crispy yet soft with a hint of margarine to satisfy your fatty taste buds. It is served with thick and spicy daal or curry depending on your taste. The daal is something rarely found in mamak restaurants anywhere in Malaysia. Sadly the best cook had to step down due to a hand injury after making roti canai for 30/35 YEARS!! It's been a year since he last cooked and still I'm looking forward for his protégé but it looks a little bleak.
The murtabak is huge and filled with your filings. Sadly I didn't order it today but its highly recommended! One order can serve up to 2-3 people! Beef or chicken is the choice available.
Lastly it's the mee/mee hun goreng. It's always served with crispy cucur udang and never bland with the addition of multiple spices and chillies. The serving is plentiful too.
This place is full of history and its fitting for every customer. Sadly it isn't what it used to be but it is still holding strong with the best cook now serving as a waiter. If you do enter Sungai Besi, this is the...

Always brings back memories whenever I had...
