Upon arrival we were met at the front gate where the hotel was kind enough to arrange a buggy to the restaurant. There is a lovely raised walkway through a jungle setting from the path to the restaurant. We were seated and offered water and menus. After ordering wine it arrived quickly, and the wait staff spent some time helping us with the menu and describing our dishes. The food was excellent, with a wide range of preparations and flavours. We had the tenderloin, lobster salad, sea bass, pineapple and eggplant curry. The wait staff were very helpful, attentive and friendly.

As an aside I read some other reviews for this restaurant where one person complained about being dropped off by their own transport at the main gate and chauffeured from the main gate to the restaurant in a golf buggy (so rude) and was also seemingly challenged in finding their way along a simple path bearing the restaurant’s name. It’s a wonder they were able to navigate the complexity of an airport in getting to Langkawi, perhaps keep an eye out for them if you visit; they may be sitting on the side of the road waiting to be...

The food was excellent, at reasonable prices for a Ritz-Carlton restaurant in Langkawi. But the service was far below expectations.

We arrived and ordered our drinks and dinner within 10 minutes. 20 minutes later we still hadn't received our drinks, and had to ask one of the waiters about it. The wine was opened clumsily (though it was great!). When our mains showed up, the staff was confused about who had ordered what. One of the mains did not show up, and again we had to inquire about it. It did show up a few minutes later.

As we were having our meal, a waiter came by offering to top up our water from a carafe despite there being a bottle of mineral water on the table. We were not offered the option of filtered water, and at one point the same waiter topped up one of our waters with the filtered water.

When it came time to pay, we had to eventually again get the waiters' attention. After we got our bill we had to go up to the staff to get them to actually charge our credit card.

Overall a delicious meal - but the service left much to be desired given...

Fantastic food at this restaurant. We visited this restaurant due to its proximity to the sky cab and the food was so good we made the half hr journey the following day to enjoy it one more time before we left the island. Shawn, the restaurant manager deserves a special mention as he went above and beyond to ensure we had a special time and understood all the dishes. Additionally, the chef’s ability to display authentic Malay dishes to non locals, without removing the authenticity was incredible. Every dish we had was full of depth and incredibly tasty, especially the 48hr slow cooked beef. Chef also kindly prepared off menu items such as prawn sambal which was fabulous. Chicken and beef satay served on a mini bbq was the best satay we have had (and we have eaten too many). Easily this was the best food we have had in our two week holiday to Malaysia. If I have one criticism, it would be the soup was lukewarm when served on both days, but the taste was amazing so all forgiven! Overall would highly recommend you visit...

My wife and I dined here for both breakfast and dinner while we stayed at the Ritz-Carlton for our honeymoon. One word - WOW! Where else would we be given a specially made dessert and drink on the last day of a holiday? The food on offer at the breakfast buffet was some of the best we have ever had. The Ramadan Buffet was out of this world! We are both familiar with Malaysian food and can't speak highly enough about the quality and taste of the food on offer. This was all coupled with the most friendly, warm and welcoming service by the staff. In particular, Yunia and Muhaimin went above and beyond our expectations with the level of service offered. Kudos to the manager, Fuad, who has clearly trained his staff well. We loved dining at Langkawi Kitchen and will carry fond memories of our time there. Thank you for making our dining experience so special! We will certainly visit again one day and will recommend Langkawi Kitchen without hesitation.

Taxi drop off at the gate. Kinda dumped with a chap who checks you have booked. Then a bit of a hair raising ride on a golf cart to be dropped off. No directions. Left wandering down a corridor. No offer of a bar area. Shown to seat. Frankly the food is superb. But when the bar tender tells you it is the first cocktail he has ever made (a negroni) and the food arrives before the wine OR the cocktail one has to contemplate if ones’ cash would not be better spent elsewhere. Final thought. After dark the jungle setting is pretty hard to appreciate.
