Experiencing memory lapses during our Chap Goh Mei dinner on CNY, we arrived at 8:15, ordered food, but it didn't arrive until 9:40, leaving us with empty stomachs and a sour mood, ultimately ruining our family dinner.
Acknowledging the festive rush, we opted to speed things up by placing our order at the counter. But the lady boss ask us write down our order ourself if need faster. Acknowledging her busy schedule, we cooperated by writing down our own orders. An hour later, with no updates on our order, even we had asking for checking the progress. Frustrated by a one-hour wait, we asked the lady boss at the counter about our order. She assured us it would be cooked, but checking with another staff revealed we were still two tables away. Frustrated, we decided to cancel our order, only to face blame from the lady boss who argued that we were aware of the wait due to the high number of orders. The problem? No estimated waiting time was given. Unapologetic, her attitude was disappointing!

Restaurant has limited tables spread over 2 tiers with a view of the pond
Ample parking, with limited covered spots.
Food was decent. Fresh, well prepared and not drenched in salt. Came pretty fast too. No complaints about the price 5 dishes , 4 adults - 130 ( no drinks) Prompt service. Polite staff.
All in all I will definitely be visiting this establishment again.
Some notes.
went on a Sunday for dinner Place was packed Would definitely recommend making a reservation
very limited tables are accessible without using stairs. Keep in mind if someone in your group has disabilities.
it's located off a main road in rasah kemayan. It's easy to find but the turn off comes at you very fast and its a sharp corner. Recommend driving slowly once...
A restaurant with a pond that beefed up the ambience. They serve quite an extensive menu but I'm not sure if all are really Hakka style. Nevertheless, it was a real meal ... truly delectable. We ordered the deep fried Salted Egg French Bean (crunchy), deep fried Oat Prawn, Thai Style Chicken (first deep fried, then prepared with sweet sour thick sauce) and their specialty of Stuffed Tofu. Rice is served unlimited in a pot/container. Unfortunately, they don't prepare fried noodle (eg Cantonese Ying Yong) on the day of our visit. Price is considered reasonable. Friendly staff. It was a rainy day, did not have much problem with flies. Do walk around the pond to see their 'mini pet zoo of goat, chicken and monkey, yes monkey. The restaurant/home is quite hidden from the main road, but they have erected a tall sign board. They have a big enough compound for...
