Don’t know how many times this shoplot changed operator, from restaurant to canteen style to China style now back to local restaurant…. Hope this time can sustain. The food taste are ok, some nice some not so good for me so it’s hard to summarize. Service is not bad, they respond very quick and helpful with order. Price is reasonable towards medium high for some dish. Ok now let’s talk about food, I like the muichoi Kai yum 梅菜扣肉 tasting good, it’s quite heavy taste but not greasy so typically signature dish that can make you add rice. Signature tofu with minced pork was a disappointment, it looks good but the taste was too plain, you can’t taste the tofu and can’t taste any saltiness. Normally, a normal tofu dish like this will be either light taste in sauce (not salty) not to cover the ori taste of tofu (fragrance with light sweet) or it will be strong sauce to make entire dish tasty but covering the tofu taste. But here, it has no tofu taste and no strong sauce. The mixed vege with namyu 南乳 also not suiting my personal taste. It’s overly salty and the namyu taste too strong covering all the other ingredients. Mango dessert was good. Overall for me it’s ok that I will still come to try...
Read moreWanted to come here to try the 3 coloured rice for dinner, we were served a menu that is only for day-time (or was told the food just got sold off, whichever flies). Sadly, that rice is part of the day time menu. Night time only has ala carte dishes.
Went along with ordering the pongteh pork, nyonya rendang, omelette, Thai taufu and crispy vege. To be fair, food actually taste good, not too overpowering not too bland, just nice for all of us. The only qualm is the chicken which looks like big portion but almost all bones.
Can't really feel anything special about the claypot coffee. Yes it's pretty smooth, but not exactly rich in flavour that the claypot feature should have boasted about?
All in all, will come back to try out other dishes (perhaps the day time menu). Price for ala carte dishes is acceptable, considered average+slightly high. Since we enjoyed the meal, so it's worth it. Also came with free cendol since we hit the minimum spending...
Read moreI recently visited this place based on the reviews. The service was efficient, and the staff were attentive despite the bustling crowd. Although the waiting time was a bit long due to the full house, it was understandable given the number of patrons, and the delicious food made up for it.
The claypot coffee and curry noodle were just okay, the three color nasi was a hit among my family, satisfying everyone's palate. The price range is acceptable considering the quality and variety of food offered.
It's true that patience is key, especially during peak hours. The restaurant have a wide range of dishes. I look forward to returning to try more of their menu options.
In conclusion, if you're seeking a place with good service, decent prices, and a diverse menu, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Keep up...
