One of the best Malay lauk pauk food I've ever tasted! Came here based on friend's recommendation. Arrived almost 12pm, a lot of people queued up and also eating at the establishment. I don't think you can book here, have to walk in and put down your name and phone number to queue up with others and wait for your turn. But thankfully it wasn't that long. The staff are quite attentive and systematic in everything they do. We ordered set type which has rice and lauk like daging salai, ayam goreng kampung, telur dadar, kangkung belacan, sambal petai. We ordered extra lauk like paru balado, telur itik too. The set have drinks like sirap selasih as well. The food was super delicious. The daging salai was very soft, not the chewy hard type. Ayam goreng kampung was the bomb. Basically all the lauk was very tasty and freshly cooked. It's like homecooked food, which is why a lot of people love the food there. And the price is not as pricey. One set for 2 ppl, around RM25, another set maybe RM45, another maybe RM120, depending for how many pax. They have a lot of kuih like karipap, cakes, tarts. It's a complete restaurant cafe that has food and desserts. Toilets are clean and they have surau for male and female too. Make sure to come early to avoid traffic and limited parking space. It opens at 11am, so be there before or on the dot. You can't reserve table, all walk in. If reach by 12pm onwards, you gotta face the crowd and just queue up. Highly recommend for group of friends, families who wants to have a good time eating authentic Malay food. Definitely will come again, it's worth the...
Read moreDisappointing Experience at Hayyan Huda Opah’s Kitchen, Seremban
I recently dined at Hayyan Huda Opah’s Kitchen in Seremban and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. When I arrived around noon, there were already too many people in the restaurant. They have a rule where you have to take off your shoes before going in, which added to the discomfort, especially since it was hot inside. It seemed like a lot of people came early because the restaurant opens at 11 a.m. The ayam kampung was tough and chewy, lacking tenderness and flavor. Additionally, the portion size was significantly smaller than expected, especially considering the steep prices of the dishes.
One of the most disappointing aspects was the sambal sotong, priced at RM18, but containing a mere seven small pieces. Moreover, it seemed like there was a lack of sweetness in the dish, as if sugar hadn’t been added as it should have been. Despite the hype surrounding the restaurant, the food failed to live up to expectations.
Furthermore, my visit to the bakery was marred by an incident where a staff member accidentally dropped a cake, resulting in its deformation. They still offered the damaged cake, and the attitude of the staff was less than satisfactory.
Adding to the disappointment were a few other complaints, including the blandness of the ayam kicap, and the mediocre quality of the daging salai.
Overall, my experience at Hayyan Huda Opah’s Kitchen was far from enjoyable. The lack of flavor, small portion sizes, and indifferent service make it difficult to recommend this...
Read more1- Parking. Do not worry about parking space. More parking space inside and outside. Service. Service was okay but sometime all the staff need one leader to lead them especially peak hours. I saw many staff but all of them busiest at kitchen area or stay at front (cashier) and lack of monitoring their customer. (So sad if customer seat at open area at the back). Price. The combination set with free Sirap Selasih (simple air orang kahwin) a bit pricy I think and can reduce to below RM20(prefer to Set A). Its sound like I am not afford to eat here but want to eat here right? No. Honestly, if the price below RM20 and this restaurant stay with the portion now, I think more people love to been here again. Another selection of dishes, the portion and the price make you think again. Simple dishes but a bit pricy. I do not know the owner target market maybe "yang berduit can eat here." Food. I love the Masak Lemak Gulai Daging Salai. I am pior Negeri, and this dishes I eat almost everyday (masak lemak cili api). Supposed I feel all masak lemak always the same but here Masak Lemak so delicious and remain us all the memories at kampung². No doubt! Every customer should taste this. Many choice of cakes you can try here and also kuih muih. Seating. Do not worry about where you want to eat. Looks like crowded but actually can get the seat. Staff there can help you to get the seat.
#i already come here twice...
