Mimi Seafood — Restaurant in Negeri Sembilan

Places seems nice in the middle of a forest somewhat. Service is non existent. Arrive with no one to greet us at the front and no one at the counter, we proceeded to bring ourselves in and have a seat since there’s 3 other couples. It’s on a Monday afternoon around 1700hrs.

I stood up to greet a staff and he just stared at me but I gesture my hands that I have 4 pax - he just walked off washed his hands and disappeared at the rear.

Me and family sat quietly and patiently for another 15mins or waving for anyone to acknowledge our presence but nothing. A couple finished their meal and stood still at the counter for payment with no one interacting with them for a good 15mins. Another couple finished their meal and drink and were looking around to for more of their food or drink to arrive as they looked both pissed and eager (assumption based on body language only).

We left. What a joke.

Not for the impatient nor the hungry. According to others have noted that service is abysmal and will take one business day to take your order. Go at your own peril. Don’t waste time and go elsewhere. Seems like they want to be left alone without customers as their base...

I like this place, because it reminds me of my hometown, my parents' house. Their service is really good. The staff is really polite and friendly. The food tasted nice too, but the omelette was too salty. Apart from that, my family and I liked everything we ordered. The only thing they need to improve is the fans. The need to add more stand fans around the restaurant cuz it can be reay humid and kinda hot when there are many people, and the ceiling fans didn't do much. As for the price, I think it was quite reasonable. We ordered a big Siakap 3 rasa, 3 big plates of Sotong Goreng Tepung, 3 big plates of Butter Prawn, 3 plates of Siput Pepahat (razor clam), 3 plates of omelette, 2 plates of kailan ikan masin, 2 plates of telur bistik, 3 big bowls of rice, 2 jugs of watermelon juice and some other drinks. Better reserved or even ordered you food before you come here.Luckily when I come here got empty table, many come after me cannot eat here because no table. Because it full house, I have to wait for 40 minutes for the drink and 1 hour for the food. But it is worth the wait. The Siakap steam limau ( Lime Steamed Sea Bass) I ordered is well season and full of flavour. Sotong goreng tepung (deep fried squid) outshine the main dish, this so good, I can eat this alone without other dish. Other dish also good and got no flaw, others that I order is, Daging Masak Halia, Ayam Masak Kunyit, Kerabu Perut, Telur Dadar, Tom Yam Seafood. Tom Yam bit on sweet side, and I am not so fond with sweet Tom Yam, but that just me, maybe because of the seafood. Others table that order Chilli crab, deep fried prawn also looking good.
