The restaurant is literally squished your wallet without having any satisfaction towards the food. First, the taste was so-so, and most of the food was bland. We were order Siakap 3 rasa, butter prawn, sotong goreng tepung and kangkong belacan. It turns that all the food was bland except kangkong belacan. We were full, but not satisfied. It feels like hell to finish the food when the food is not good at all. Second, the price. They didn't transparant about the price. For the seafood, we have to choose the fish by ourselves, the menu indeed telling you how much it price for 100 gr (FYI, siakap cost RM7/100gr), however, after the weigh the fish, they didn't tell you how much it weigh. Somehow I can see from the weigh scale the fish is 400gr. But after we see the receipt, it cost us RM86 for one siakap 3 rasa. Same goes for sotong and prawn butter. In the end we have to pay for RM170 in total for only 2 serve of rice, 1 serve of kangkong belacan, 1 siakap tiga rasa, 1 sotong goreng tepung, and 1 butter prawn. Which if we order here in KL, it just cost us around 50 - 60 ringgit in the same kind of restaurant. Third, they already teaching fraud to kids. I ordered young coconut juice and it somehow have to be paid separately. The price stated in the menu was RM4. I gave RM5 to the kid that served the coconut but he didn't gave me back my balance. Yes it is only RM 1, but still, if you already learn to corrupt the money since a kid, you'll be big criminals when you grew up. And from the other review that I read, seems like I'm not the only victim here. Fourth, the very not friendly cashier. The cashier is somehow rude towards the customer even though we were there to pay. He was extremely rude and not having good behavior towards customer before me. They were 3 person, looks like students and seems very shock when the cashier give the total price (I eavesdropped them, they should pay RM260 for 3 person) I don't know what they ordered before, but from their gesture, indeed they felt the food is not worthy as the price given. They surely tooks their time and asking several times that they don't wrongly hear. I heard the cashier said "If you are poor, check your wallet first before sitting, student but stupid!". I felt pity towards them, but they have no choice to pay. For me, that attitude is surely not acceptable. And when it's my turn, the cashier also show no respect and hissing when I ask for the receipt. A very rude cashier indeed. Conclusion. If you want to end up having a worst experience, try this restaurant. The only positive things about this restaurant is only the ambience and the only one halal seafood restaurant around. My advice, you better drive a bit far to go to a better restaurant, rather than eating here. The worst...
Read moreThe welcoming name of this place is the polar opposite of the actual experience. Rarely have I come across a more overt racist experience. In order to get anything resembling fair service here you need to either be wearing a kopia or tudung as everyone else, non-malay, non-Muslim or as we were, a muhibbah Chinese Muslim family of mixed origin are distinctly 4th class customers who will be ignored, passed on, served last, given the worst table under a tent beside the road and fed only when everyone else has if at all.
Our order was straight forward consisting of triple orders of 4 items. The First order arrived after 30 minutes, the 2nd after 50, the fried kangkong after 1 hour 20 minutes and the final dish.. Well not at all. Mind you we were asking for white rice throughout the dinner which only came after the vegetables right at the end when nothing was left. Whenever we tried to get a waiter to help we were repeatedly ignored. When we went to the service window we were told that the reason there is no rice is because people like you keep coming and asking for it. Right. Oklah. Make no mistake. This place is expensive. The poor service is an additional insult to customers. The stray cats are a bonus especially the big black caterwauling male that jumped up and tried to grab our RM100 jenahak. If you still choose to patronise a place such as this that treats customers in this manner then good for you. They do...
