There is a 45 minutes time limit once you've stepped into the shop. And the man who I assume is the owner takes that policy very seriously, as me and my friend was in the middle of eating (about 20 minutes into the 45 minutes limit, as we took some time to ask the staff about their food, since it was our 1st time there, before deciding what to order), we decided to order additional items for takeaway, that grumpy man told us "I tell you ah, next time please order early, we can only serve you for 45 minutes, after 45 minutes, and you order late, you'll have to wait outside for your food." Which I totally understand if there are alot of queue outside, but there weren't, because we purposely went during off peak hour to avoid crowds. So yea, 1 star for that arrogant attitude. Food wise, the dry tomato pan mee tasted very alike to my childhood memory of pizza hut's bolognese spaghetti. The original soup vinegar pan mee was nice. Read moreThis was my first visit to this restaurant, the name “vinegar pan mee” attracted me as its something new to me. However, I soon realized that it's not a pan mee dish made with vinegar, but rather a unique concept where black vinegar is provided on each table that you can add to any pan mee dish you order.
Despite the initial misconception, the pan mee we ordered, both the soup and dry versions, turned out to be quite delicious. The soup had a flavorful base that pleased my taste buds. However, I personally prefer pan mee with minced pork instead of larger minced pork chunks. We added vinegar to our pan mee when we were halfway through, and being someone who enjoys sour flavors, it elevated the dish and made it even more delicious.
One thing to note is that there is a queue, but the waiting time is fortunately not too long. The staff efficiently managed the flow, ensuring a manageable wait before being seated.
Looking forward to revisit to explore other flavors, such as the...
Read moreYou shouldn’t miss this cozy air-conditioned cafe when visiting Kuantan. It’s located in an industrial area, a bit far away from the city; however, it’s worth making the trip.
Try the soup and dry black sauce version, their basic seasoning is already superb, but with added unique vinegar and chili sauce, it’s another level up, so flavorful! Also, their ban mee has various sauces to choose from besides the standard ikan bilis soup.
They also serve good cups of traditional kopi O and kopi C. And if you didn’t have enough of the ban mee, you could purchase their ready-to-cook ban mee with seasoning to cook at home.
The chef boss is a humble and friendly gentleman, and we chatted awhile before continuing our road trip to Terengganu. How nice to meet heartwarming locals along our way! 祝老板”生意兴隆”!We hope to...
