This place has delicious food but overall did not live up to my expectations considering the luxury price tag of Rm100 per pax.
We came in the afternoon and it was hot. We were sweating and our backs were wet. We were assigned a table that is located at the border of the restaurant, so sunlight was just right next to our table and one of us is almost under direct sunlight. No fans were blowing at our table. We were not allowed to change our table.
Table fits us but if it were bigger it would be more comfortable for us. No lazy Susan thus we have to move and rearrange dishes around and the small table makes it harder for us to do that. Actually, we wouldn't need to do that if they could come and clear the empty dishes more diligently.
Almost everything self service. Refilling tea, serving tea, getting sauces, refilling vegetables, all by ourselves. The only thing they took initiative was refilling the hotpot soup. And to be fair, requesting things like ice and drinks came at an acceptable speed. Also, by the end of the meal, nobody came to clean up the table to make it more comfortable for us to stay longer.
It was a holiday so it was full house, hence the place was noisy, hectic and slightly cramped. They should build a bigger space for more comfort.
Food were small portioned, but they are delicious and can get quite full by the end of the meal provided you enjoy the free flow veggie hotpot.
Parking has a 1 minute walk to the restaurant so you would have to walk under the hot sun. If the parking is full, you would have to park further away for a 2 minute walk.
In short, food is great but service and ambience does not live up to the price. All these were not an issue if the prices were lower. But they're still able to get full house customers so I guess they would never do that. I can see that they're spending a lot on marketing to attract customers, I was one of them. Beware of fake reviews that sound like AI or without a photo. I sincerely hope they use the money they earned from us to improve their business to have intentions to retain customers rather than just keep making money off neverending newcomers who would just spend once here. I would return if their facilities and services shall one day match the price.
If you were to consider coming, with their current condition I would suggest to come at night when the weather is cooler and at off peak seasons with less people so you can get more comfort and...
Read moreWe had our lunch last Saturday with 13 adults and 4 kids. We booked the lunch set. There is a super big round table just for us! The kids table is beside the round table with 3 kids all time fav dish (sweet sour pork, fried 魔鬼豆 skinny French beans, stir fry egg) I believe the kids menu can change, vege is depend on the farm availability.
For the adults side, due to they change their menu according what is available in their vege farm. The vegetarian options menu need to check with them. For normal item, we had smoke chicken (super delicious, can taste the smoke on the outer layer, must pair it up with the home made sauce!) Patin fish is fresh, no smelly fish smell, must pair with their home made soy sauce!! Yum yum! The tofu dish taste great too. Thumbs up for the chicken soup although colour is so light, but very refreshing, must pair with their farm fresh vege. You can have as much vege as you want. It’s hard to describe the soup turns out after we put in so much vege in it, getting sweeter and sweeter, you just can’t stop eating the vege and soup. The ramen with shau Xing wine is another must order dish. The noodle is so chewy and tender, I believe they hand made it together with vege because a light green colour in the noodle. Oh ya, the rice with mushroom, it pairs very well with dong bo pork. Of course you can order white rice if you want to eat with the pork gravy.
Sorry for too long post. Overall the food portion is just nice, our stomach didn’t burst out. We can taste every dish and finish everything, no waste.
The kids can play around the area and go up onto the camp area. It is safe, adult can see them where are they. Hope they can have an outdoor swing, hammock, or some kids play area.
By the way, the dogs there are super friendly, never bark or anything. They just lie down there for the kids to see 😃
Weather is pleasant, it’s hot but not as scorching hot at the...
Read moreWe recently had the pleasure spending a 3d2n family getaway at “Sempah T Farm” located abt 30 minutes from Genting Highlands. We chose this farm for its pet-friendly amenities just so we can bring our 🐶 Georgie along n it did not disappoint !!
This farm hv 6 six resident dogs. They were initially a bit reserved then eventually warmed up & happily played with us 😆. The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful. The staff were down to earth and accommodating, taking the time to explain everything in detail and ensure we felt at home.
imo this trip's highlights was a small hike tru the farm's land that was led by one of their cofounder. We get to learned abt dif plants & insects which is educational. however the hike can be dangerous due to presence of monkeys and leeches. We also visited their lakeside where we could enjoy clean mountain water.
The food was excellent tru out our stay. All their ingredients r homemade and vegs r super fresh !! My mum upgraded our second night’s dinner to their special farmhouse omakase. It do be on the pricey side but it’s a unique experience. for supper they provided instant noodles and marshmallows with cooking equipments 😋
But there’s a few things to note ‼️ ~ the environment does have insects and mosquitoes, so nid to prepare repellents ! ~ its quite hot during the day but nights and mornings are comfortably cool and breezy.
Overall this farm provided us a peaceful bonding experience w their welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff and beautiful natural setting. It’s a perfect spot for anyone looking to relax, enjoy time w fam (& pets!) and unwind in nature. I highly...
