Wau Hotel & Cafe — Restaurant in Pahang

We booked this hotel because we cancelled an other one due to bad reviews we missed before.|This hotel was just great. Of course it hasn’t got fancy stuff, but you pay very less for what you get in our opinion.|We arrived around 3 am because we had a late flight and had to drive from KLIA to here. We could still check in.||The room was simple, but still comfortable. The shower worked excellent and also with hot water. The only downside might’ve been some mustiness in the shower at the ceiling, but we can see this through.||The service was also great. As mentioned before we could still check in at 3am and were helped great.|Also in the morning we could leave our car there because we would go to Taman Negara and they arranged a taxi for us to the pick up point.||We absolutely...

Based on the reviews we booked this hotel. Yes, people are friendly, helpful and surroundings are nice. But our room had NO window. With a child of 1 year and the very dark surroundings we had a not so pleasant stay. Because there were no other room available, we had to stay. Really, if you book this hotel please make sure you have a window. Although the building is practically all concrete, we had some not so good night sleeps, due to unsafe feeling, what will occure if there was something to happen. As many reviews have said the staff at this hotel is what makes it do great. Everything else is fine. It is clean. The rooms are clean and basic but the value for money is right on. The hotel itself is just slightly out of town but there is a great Roti place, a dim sum, a tom yum within 50 meters and a mini mart right next door. But the kindest gentleman, Manian, working the front desk is what makes it feel so much like home. I dont know if I will ever come to this town again, but if I do I will stay here. Manian should be working the Ritz-Carleton in New York City not at a little known hotel in central Malaysia. I hope the owners are happy...
