  1. BKT omitting greens and shroom, order only with ribs and pork belly. (10/10)
  2. Service (8/10) It will be good to have a designated waiting area for take out.
  3. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Decent dining environment (7/10).

Undoubtedly one of the most authentic Penang Bak Kut Teh. The soup is well-brewed with a meticulous blend of Chinese herbs, garlic, and spices, ultimately achieves an exquisite balance between earthy robustness and a hint of sweetness. Each sip warms and soothes the palate and stomach. The intentional exclusion of vegetables and shrooms ensures that the essence of the herbs remains untainted, allowing the soup's true character to shine. Floating gracefully within the steaming bowl, the pork belly is a testament to slow cooking done right. Tender and indulgently rich, each slice offers a melt-in-the-mouth experience, its flavors perfectly infused with the aromatic broth. Complementing this is the pork ribs, which boast a delicate tenderness that releases succulent, flavorful bites with every pull from the bone. The ribs, with their hearty texture and depth, are the perfect match to the pork belly. This minimalist approach: omission of greens and shrooms to preserve the broth’s purity, delivers an unadulterated celebration of the dish’s core ingredients. It is a must-try for purists who appreciate the dish's roots and prefer to savor its meaty, herbal essence without distraction and external influences. Each bowl is a reminder that sometimes, simplicity is the ultimate...

This is one of the best Bak Kut Teh places I’ve tried in Penang, especially their dry Bak Kut Teh with its strong flavor and sticky dark gravy. Each ingredient in the clay pot was perfectly tender without being mushy. They offer two types of rice: white rice and oily rice cooked with chicken soup, though the oily rice had only a slight fragrance difference. Another great thing was they allowed us to refill the soup twice upon request. The place was very popular; the dining area was full of people at 5:30pm, even before the usual dinner time. They also have many more tables...

Like their Bak Kut Teh a lot, the taste is a bit on the heavier side but personally it's just nice for me.

I tend to order both dry n soup that way I get the best of both worlds 😁

It's a bit hot there but that's pretty normal for most bak kut teh shop here cuz they have their stove out front instead of having them in the kitchen at the back like...

Definitely one of the best bak kut teh you can get in bm. Do try their dry version of Bkt! Taste is still good, soup is generous and they willing to give free refill! But I do notice that the price has been slightly increase for the past few years. Since after Covid. But still it’s good! Would recommend to stop by
