[Nothing like the Pictures - A Transit Hotel 🏨 VALUE FOR YOUR BUCKS 💰]

Did the booking over booking.com so the pictures were fantastic as per the ones you see on their website. Our booking was a Standard King Room. However, we were allocated a corner room which was significantly smaller than other Standard Kong Room or not like the pictures.

Pros: ✅ Hot shower 🚿- best hot/ cold rain shower after a day of excursion in Penang, excellent water pressure, good length mirror, hotel amenities (conditioner, shampoo, soap and shower cap) ✅ King Bed 🛌- despite the small rooms, the bed was pretty comfy, clean sheets, and 4 large pillow, suitable for those who like a bit of firm mattress too ✅ Room cleaning service 🙇🏻‍♀️ - rooms are always nicely made up with replenished water bottles x2 per day, fresh towels x2 and floor towel x1 ✅ Room - TV 📺 was good size and good channels selections for English and Mandarin, Air Con was working very well too ✅ Brava Cafe - EXCELLENT! closes at 10pm. ✅ Location - Stone’s throw to Aeon and Tesco, new opened Summer Coffee Gallery opposite AEON

Cons: ❌ Room - small size, cracks on the walls, very thin doors 🚪 thus can hear the neighbours opening and closing doors, thin walls this can hear the neighbours flushing toilets and opening toilet doors ❌ Occupants - a group of men were smoking one night just outside the room near the stairs thus we had to stuff the door with floor towel, some occupants seem to be having a lot of visitors during their stay resulting in noises

BEST VALUE FOR MONEY!!! For the price of SGD$38/night for the amount of amenities they provide? DONE! Even better than Hotel 81 in Singapore. We recommend to stay for 2-3 nights but ask for Room 108 (peeked and saw the room set up was nice!!!) but avoid Room 113 (corner but small). Oh, and remember to bring toothbrush and toothpaste or just buy at the 7-11...

my husband and i chose to stay here because it is within walking distance to a bridal studio that we were engaged with. ||it is an average, small room with not much room for walking after we put 2 luggages on the floor. cleanliness is okay. not many tv channels. there is a water station outside our room. shower head water pressure is a little low. the knob (not sure if this is what you call it), which you pull to turn on the water doesnt indicate the temperature but rather the water pressure. if you turn it to your left, the water gets little. ifyou turn it to your right, it comes down in torrents. i find it weird and off bcz that is not how the water knob works.||receptionist works almost at a snail-like pace. breakfast is a simple set of eggs and bread in different cooking way. but there is a cafe downstairs which serves better breakfast that what the hotel can offer. however, that will cost more. we paid about RM50 for a breakfast there on our first day.||there is a kopitiam nearby, serving local food for breakfast n lunch. we had wantan mee there on our second day which costs only RM10 for 2 pax. ||hailing rides are easy so you can either rent a car to drive around or just...

Worst hotel we have ever stayed. Let us summarize everything.

EXTREMELY poor sound proof. Whenever people shower, flush toilets, open the water tap etc, all can be listen clearly with EXTREMELY loud pump and water sound. anyone that walk at corridor or talk in the room, all can be heard clearly. room is very small, after luggage is opened, no space for you to walk. bed sheets, pillow sheets are not changed or replaced (even during this pandemic). Stains and dust all over the sheets tables, floors, tv, remote control, toilet, basin ALL are not cleaned. Dusts and dirt all over the places, needed to clean it our own and the cloths turned BLACK after cleaning. early morning and night time (should say during peak hours) have NO hot water for shower because hot water is finished by others. air conditioning is cold BUT extremely noisy. Hotel main entrance is closed after 11pm and you will need to walk up or down from the dark stairs beside the hotel. don't expect to have a good rest in this hotel.
