AB Home & Cafe — Restaurant in Penang

We came here for iftar, and unfortunately, this will be our first and last visit. The food was expensive, and we faced multiple issues.

1️⃣ We requested a vegetarian meal, but I was served spaghetti with prawns. When we asked for a replacement, we decided to check if they would actually prepare a new one. We placed a small piece of papadom under the spaghetti before returning the plate. When the “new” dish arrived, it wasn’t even hot. We asked if it was freshly prepared, and the staff insisted it was. However, when we checked, the same small papadom was still there—proving that they just removed the prawns instead of making a fresh dish. The staff straight-up lied to us.

2️⃣ We ordered fruit tea, but after we arrived, they casually told us it wasn’t available. Their boss didn’t even inform us earlier.

3️⃣ Drinking water with ice costs RM3.90, which is overpriced for just plain water.

The whole experience was frustrating, and we deeply regret coming here. Their boss did offer a free meal as compensation, but we refused because of the dishonesty. For a Muslim café, we expected better ethics. Would not...

i dont know what to say about this cafe. i feel like for a RM15++ price, your food need to be 15++ too. we ordered the chicken salted egg rice, nasi sambal udang, ice lemonade strawberry. chicken salted egg rice was okay, pinggan licin. the nasi sambal udang was very bad and dirty. the prawns were not cleaned. if you can see in the picture, the poop line is still there. it’s disgusting. they give you 4 prawns and all 4 are not clean. then the drink. dear god the drink. imagine the flu medicine you have to drink when you were little. yeah. that bad. it was like drinking medicine. overall, food and drink really bad. the environment, they were playing all sad and depressing songs. so yeah. if you’re depressed and dont care about your money, then come here. literally left the...
