Having seen the fire myself, I couldn't believe the CKT served was actually fried with such a big fire. I was also surprised with the decent turnout for a rainy evening!
The smoky and aromatic flavours are missing! You can't feel the wok hei at all! The pork lard, good amount of prawns and fried egg on top didn't help to salvage this CKT
I believe this has to do with pre-fried koay teow in large quantity. The mass production is, understandably, a big no no for quality food
I'm sorry to say that the CKT doesn't deserve the current rating above 4 on Google Maps! It's also far from being the best CKT in BM

However, there is one famous Chinese stall using Charcoal Fire for Duck Egg Char 'Koay Teow' 鸭蛋炒 '猓条'(Fried 'Rice noodles' with Duck Egg)' only in the evening from 6.00 pm to 12.00 am (mid-night).
