PSA : the ordering algorithm is a little different here. First you order outside on the sidewalk and pay for the food first. Then go inside and sit. A waiter will take your drinks order and deliver the drink. After you finish eating, only then you pay for the drinks.
This is definitely one of the better nasi kandar around. I usually ask for kuah campur for my rice and here, I wasn't disappointed. The combination was delicious. Incredible balance of salt spice and thickness. Mouth watering explosion of flavour in the mouth and the food aroma is superb. It trends a little on the over spicy side though.
Even though I am glad they have glass panels separating diners from the food, for hygiene and safety reasons, I find it awkward that I can't see the food well. The extra reflective quality of the glass makes it really hard to appreciate the food behind it and I find myself moving a lot in an attempt to find a good angle to figure out what food they have behind it. Otherwise you can't clearly see the food. It's a strange experience to have.
They have a no frills simplistic design for the decor. Functional and classical of nasi kandar restaurant. It's clean and comfortable to have food inside as it has aircon even though the aircon could've been set a little cooler to make the place colder to be even more enjoyable.
Parking is actually available in the area at the side of the building and also at the back of the building. So don't be disheartened if you don't find any parking in front of the building. Usually there isn't any empty space in front so you will need to park at the 2 alternative sites...

Heading towards Thailand border, decided to make a stop for a Nasi Kandar lunch at Penang. Thought of driving to island but coincidentally when searched on Google, found this branch located at Jalan Baru, Perai. Nearest to North South highway.
Ayam Bawang in Hameediyah is super finger licking good especially at Kota Damansara, Selangor and Georgetown HQ branch. Took the exact items for Nasi Kandar, nothing fancy nothing extra luxury.
Was told this is Ayam Kampung, village chicken. It was good, but not as good as the one at Kota Damansara and Georgetown HQ branch. Onions taste was mild.
Unexpectedly fried fish taste way better than chicken. Fried not long ago, so it was hot when picked. Fresh and chunky. Vibrant marination.
Kuah campur was good. Bendi in Hameediyah is undeniably the best. Fresh and not soggy. Telur Masin is mandatory with Kuah Campur, for extra kickkk. Chutney appeared tempting but something wrong with the smell. Had foul smell. This is not the usual chutney we eat at Hameediyah.
Total price is slightly high because of Ayam Kampung. This Perai branch is quite spacious and many seating available....
Read more3rd try at this place and my heart breaks a little each time. 💔 I'm swearing off this place now. Hameediyah, I'm breaking up with you. Can't even make u side-chick, when u can't even get your fried chicken right.
I see people say cleanliness is one of its redeeming qualities. And I agree. It is quite clean and bright. But smoke from the kitchen is seeping into the dining area... so I struggle to give it full stars for "Atmosphere", since I can hardly breathe it.
Disappointed, livid and stewing in carbon monoxide, I'm typing this because of how much I disdain their overcooked fried chicken. Even the thigh and drumstick is a teeth-breaker. I'm struggling enough already so I have no idea how the makcik beside me with the dentures did it. Vegetables are undercooked and hard too. They're almost as raw as ulam!
That's it. I'm calling it quits. I keep coming back to you but I only end up getting hurt each time. Pft... Did you even care? No,...
