One of the biggest and nicest restaurants in Tanjung Tualang but...not the best here. However the service was bad and the staff are quite rude. Tried the following:
Steamed Tualang prawns (ching ching Har) Famous for prawns in Tualang, this dish didn't really deliver that. It was just an overall ok as it's overcooked and prawns were small (maybe cause of CNY). I have tried other shops around here before and it is so much more better. 3.5 ๐
Signature Kampong chicken This dish taste good but the chicken was so hard. 3 ๐
Speciality tofu with minced pork This dish was really good and it goes really well with rice. Love the minced pork. Recommended 4๐
Pork ribs Pork ribs is nice here too. Juicy and tasted really good. Kids will love this dish. 4 ๐
Steamed fish This is not bad. Fish was not overcooked and the taste is also quite good. 3.5 ๐
Strangely the food that Tualang is famous for doesn't really taste that good but surprisingly those that they are not famous for is actually pretty good. Like I said earlier, there are better restaurant in Tanjung Tualang and this one was...

Service was quick and within expectations on a weekend ,(about 30 minutes wait). Ambience was nice, clean and more spacious than many of the other restaurants in Tanjung Tualang. However, food lacks flavour. The steamed prawns was a let down - RM105/kg (if not mistaken, could be more) for medium sized prawns (which was kind of small) and tasted bland. The ginger fish was nothing special. The salted egg calamari had no crunch and punch to it. The four-beans vegetables were ok. Overall, nothing much to shout about. Total bill was RM200+. Not our first choice for...

They make very gooey sang mien that has no flavour except black salty soy sauce. The fish in their fish head curry has a strong fishy smell. We found a worm in our plate of vegetables.
However, Kim Wah's saving grace is their prawn dishes. Unlike the numerous restaurants in Tok Alang, Kim Wah's prawns have a crunchy juicy texture to it. Other restaurants have prawns which are just a tad rubbery. So the only item I would recommend here is their prawns (just be sure to tell...
