The restaurant had a luxurious ambiance with fancy chairs, tables, and decorations. We decided to try the Peking Style Duck with three different flavors. They served it in three parts: one for soup (which turned out to be overly salty due to excessive seasoning), another for duck skin (we ate it with an egg wrap, which was unusual but still acceptable). Surprisingly, the duck skin was perfectly cut by a foreign staff member, even though chefs usually handle this task. We also ordered a dish where the remaining duck meat was cooked with other ingredients and wrapped in lettuce. Unfortunately, it didn't taste so well. The chef seemed to rush through the cooking process, missing the essence of the ingredients. There was no wok aroma or even a hint of garlic flavor. The Lion's Head meatballs and Fried Prawns with Salt & Pepper were also too salty, even when eaten with rice. My suggestion for the restaurant would be to use less seasoning, allowing the natural flavors of the ingredients to shine through. Despite having more foreign staff than locals, the service remained passionate and attentive.

Have heard of friends raving about the suckling pig so I had to try it, especially when we have a big enough group this time. While the price has increased three fold (it's RM350 each now), I think it's still value for money for this size and quality. We also ordered a few other dishes which were all on point. The Steamed Garoupa was a big portion and so fresh. Desserts were also good, the Water Chestnut soup was comforting with crunchy bites of water chestnut in every mouthful. The pancake was well fried without being too oily and interesting that it uses Lotus paste instead of the usual Red Bean paste. And for the first time, I found out that restaurants in Ipoh allows you to bring your own tea leaves and they simply charge for hot water. So we got to enjoy a special 陈皮普洱茶 from Uncle's private stash.

Nice foods v good services. they served wide range of variety Chinese foods, chicken, fish, pork, vege, tofu, egg, etc. comfort air conditioned dining environment, spacious, clean, and bright. good choice for family gathering dinner, company dinner, etc. Sometimes, there were company or wedding events, to avoid disappointment, better call to make an appointment to reserve seats. they do provide wet tissue, and there are charges for wet tissue, if u don't want the wet tissue, u can return it den won't charge it in ur bill.

will not recommend for dine in during any festive season. please do not even order their set menu, because they will definitely give ur food deliver super late...need to ask more than 10 times only give u 2 dishes. I have reach at 7pm and ask to prepare the dish until 8pm not even one dish is up. then table tat came in late than me, order late then me also finish and have go back also and I'm still waiting for my 3rd dish. then I request to change the glutinous rice to fried rice, the fried rice is no taste at all. all the captain and supervisor at there did ntg. and not even saw their appearance in organise things. why the kitchen cook things can do jump queue. I thot it suppose to be follow order and queue. when ask for bill, asked 3 times also the bi not prepare also. then when tell them why so slow on food. the staffs only said alot ppl today. I believe that if follow order and not jump queue. this won't be happening. is it ordering ala cart is earning more profits than v ordering sets? why the tables next to us all order ala cart is finish and v ordering sets v need to wait and finish one meal for 4hours. I need a proper explanation. do clarify it...

Save your money, avoid this place. We just wanted to enjoy a meal with family and friends, but this place was a huge letdown. I don’t think we’re the fussy or rude kind of customer there must be a reason we felt this strongly. Service was dismissive, no apologies even after two complaints, and we were left waiting almost half an hour for dishes. The excuse was “short of staff” since when do we have to be involved in your operations? Honestly, that’s your problem, customers are paying for proper food and service.

The food itself was mediocre at best, nothing memorable, and certainly not worth the frustration. Ipoh is full of places with far better food and service.

I honestly don’t know how this place has so many good reviews. Don’t be fooled, maybe it once had standards, but now it’s being run by a bunch of incompetent people who ruin everything.

It’s 2025, and too many Ipoh businesses still cling to this cocky, old-school attitude. That doesn’t fly anymore. Customers don’t owe you a thing like it or not, we’re the ones paying. If you can’t respect the people dining in your restaurant, don’t expect them to...
