Hwang — Hotel in Perak

MyDream Homestay has all the comforts of a decent hotel, with the ambience, personal touch and coziness of a private residence. The unique interior design is reminiscent of British architecture - with a faux fireplace, grand armchairs, and photos of English castles gracing the walls, no less. Nestled in a residential community, the bungalow’s surroundings are quiet and away from the hustle bustle of the town centre, yet eateries and amenities are within easy reach.

The rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable hotel-quality bedding and divans. Some rooms are even fitted with a dainty living area, sofa and coffee table ensuite. The yard opens to an expansive grassy clearing with barbeque facilities, should one choose to be close to nature. Less adventurous guests can enjoy a drink or two and chill at the lovely verandah. The complimentary drinks were such a nice touch!

The managers (especially Mr Oh) are attentive and take pride in their service, often going the extra mile to make guests feel at home. As our entourage arrived early (before the check-in time), Mr Oh offered to check us into one of the rooms which was ready so we could store our luggage. Their amicable personalities, fascinating stories and sharp sense of humour were very endearing, and we were impressed by their sincerity and kindness. They even celebrated one member’s birthday with us!

In short, I could not ask for a more comfortable and memorable stay in Ipoh. My only regret is that one night was too short – and this will remain one of my top...

Hai. I loved everything interior, comfortability and your facilities provided. I definitely not expected the room will exactly looks like hotel. This is the 1st time guesthouse I went to have this view.

I just want to have some comments regarding the cleanliness of the room and maybe for other rooms as well if there is same issues; maybe you can consider it's as your monthly routine for the entire house. I saw dust at your door gap and your decoration frames (may refer to pic). The dust is not good for some people who have serious sinus or children's lugs. Its will trigger allergic for some people. I think the person in charge on cleaning the room also possibly forgot to put on bed sheet on the queen bed. Because it's only have cover mattress on it, but the other bed have proper bed sheet. The water drain in the toilet seems need to do some plumbing because the water flow down very slow if we shower. The area will be stagnant. we will feel uneasy because doesn't know what inside the water drain that makes it stuck to flow properly.

I hope although I got 3 comments regarding the room and give you 4 star, you will work on it and take serious action on the matters. Overall I love your house very much. I glad to say I will definitely stay at your property next time or else if you have other properties at different state I will like to stay there...

If I could give -7 stars I would. The absolute WORST customer service I’ve ever experienced.

The room and environment is nice at first. Once you meet the owner of the property. Everything else just became negative.

Started with his very professional welcome at the front desk, he said “is it your first time here? If yes, you need to give angpao”

Wasted so much of my and my family time and not letting us go to our rooms. This was priority as it is obvious we were exhausted after the train ride.

Not recommended even if you have free voucher to go there. Perhaps this is why they’re one the rare properties whose T&C is fully non refundable.

Unacceptable service, they must have know customer will complain...
