Restaurant S.H. Saleem is a gem in Ipoh town, especially for those who love authentic Indian-Muslim cuisine. The restaurant serves a wide variety of traditional breads such as roti canai, chapati, and tosai, each freshly made and served hot with your choice of curry sauce. The curries are rich in flavor, aromatic, and pair wonderfully with the breads, making even a simple meal feel satisfying. The highlight, however, is their rice dishes, with the briyani being the undeniable star. Arguably one of the best briyanis in Ipoh, it comes with fragrant, fluffy rice cooked with just the right amount of spices. The chicken briyani is delightful, with the chicken fried to perfection—crispy on the outside yet tender inside. For lamb lovers, the lamb briyani is a must-try, with meat that is succulent, juicy, and well-seasoned, blending harmoniously with the rice. What truly elevates the dining experience are the curry sauces. They are flavorful, not overly oily, and have the right balance of spices, complementing both the bread and rice dishes excellently. With its combination of tasty food and hearty portions, Restaurant S.H. Saleem is definitely worth a visit for anyone craving authentic, delicious Indian-Muslim cuisine in Ipoh.

Over-rated place. Just usual nasi kandar, very limited choices. The briyani was so hyped, but really turned down. Nice simple briyani, not very flavourful. There is no proper amount, items were given for the briyani, no timun no papadum. Since they know their popular and crowded best to prepare more items especially briyani sides as timun, cabbage. They took out the briyani and less than 30 minutes it finished. Murtabak was thick and nice, the gravy spoiler. Cleanliness really need to check here, the floor are sticky, most the staffs here having long beards, but none cover it when scooping the rice or preparing any dishes.

The best briani in Ipoh with choices of fried chilli chicken or white chicken (chicken that cooked with briani rice), however parking is very limited plus to avoid disappointment please do not visit Restaurant on friday from 1pm-230pm as they will close their restaurant for Friday prayers.

Visited this place to meet up with friend. Tea and roti canai. Tea is good. I love it. Roti canai is also good and tasty. The murtabak Adam is good too. This place is packed for lunch however. If you want to spend some quiet time or personal conversation, please avoid peak hours. The eatery is nice and clean. Be advised parking space is limited for cars and larger vehicles. Yes I would definitely...
