We came here to celebrate Mother's day but was caught by surprise on the phenomenal pricing which made our expectations even higher for the place. Around RM200-RM400 per set depending on the mains you select. We were informed there is no ala carte and if we do not wish to order the main, we can have the set with the entrée, soup, appetiser, dessert and wine at RM80. I was quite surprised there isn't any explanation on what the course menu is until we asked and the waiter just explained the mains.

It was a nice gesture by the restaurant who gave each lady a small bouquet of flowers. We ordered 2 mains for the 4 of us though that itself was quite difficult as the waiter was insistent on what and how much we should eat even when we told him it would be enough given it is already a 4 course set without the mains. Now on the food. Salad and side vegetables on the mains with a sprinkling of lemon juice and just blanching broccoli and brussel sprouts will not do for a fine dining restaurant (maybe I was misled by some of the reviews and Google) doing Modern European. I would expect a lot more considering the price being paid. The wine was absolutely not a wine, possibly just some grape juice passed off as Merlot (I agree with someone else who put this same comment years ago. Seems like it has not changed!). And I don't need a lesson on when I can drink the wine. I think the customer should be allowed to drink anytime he/she wishes to (tho I can skip it if I knew it would taste that bad). The mushroom soup was more like a puree, no aroma from the cream used and definitely not mascarpone. The meat and seafood on the mains fared better. Lamb was grilled and at the right doneness. The fish and grilled tiger prawn was nothing to shout about. Something you can get even at regular western dining as Surf n Turf. The restaurant tries it's best to be a fine dining restaurant but I think they need to look at their competition. The waiter should take a step backward and let the customer decide. He can nudge and help guide but not be overbearing. The chef (I think) is a nice chap and came to check on us. In summary, not what I would call a fine dining Modern European restaurant but rather a local atas Western restaurant. They tried very hard but just don't make the cut in my opinion. As for the others giving 5 stars, I cannot...

Celebrated my birthday here with my husband and kids. First of all I would like to say that I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere was perfect. The moment I stepped into this restaurant it has this very cosy environment with jazz music playing at the background. The menu was very simple. Is a 5 course meal. All you need to chose is your main course either you would like to have beef, lamb or fish. They also have set meals for 2pax, 3 pax or 4pax, which is nice for family. My course includes soup n bread as starter, salad prawns as appetiser. I have beef fillet topped with trouffles and it was cooked to perfection. The chef will personally ask for your preference and will recommend you if you are indicisive of your choice. The meal also included free flow of red wine with dessert. To my surprise the chef personally handed me a bouquet of flowers and prepared us with a lovely birthday cake as dessert with fireworks candle. I would like to conclude that is comparatively more expensive then most steakhouses which is around RM 250-300+ per pax but with the experience and great food I had is still very worth it. Would visit again to satify my tastebuds. Keep up the...

Went on a date with my wife after ages, never heard much about this place, but decided to try anyway.

Ambiance: Poor The restaurant was dark, almost like no one was in. The floors weren't clean The aircond wasn't on, and at one point for some reason they switched off the fan, and both of us were sweating. Totally disliked that. not romantic at all

Food: Average. I have been to other fine dinings that taste better food presentation was so and so.

Our waiter was a nice guy, but he has to improve his conduct in English.

Conclusion: Atas charges for bawah overall.

For a restaurant that charges at least RM 200/pax for set dinner, you have to...

The fine dine restaurant located inbetweek Gunung Rapat and Ampang. Bungalow unit by the main road. Easy to find. No hassels over parking. Having dinner with family of 3. The restaurant giving 5 serving per set dinner. Suitable for big eater. Portion kinda full for 5 courses dinner. Services ... Friendly and polite. Very helpful on the introduction. Enviroment calming and peace. The only place need to improve is the toilet ... Kinda unclean. Food being served hot and also very attempted. Nice preparation on the table. The price kinda high but value the food given. Worth trying.
