The place is quite old and not furnished.
Also, the food didn’t taste good. The deemed personalised private kitchen dining was more of a usual Chinese food, but made without effort.
We opted for 5 course meal at the price of about RM180/person, for 8 person. Summed up to about RM1,400.
1st course - skewers + crispy popiah with prawn (this was alright) 2nd course - a small plate of celery and carrots (seriously? and it tasted bland. Did not bother to take any picture). 3rd course - steamed egg with bonito flakes and two small squids (the texture of the egg was rough, and the squids were not fresh. Bland taste.) 4th course - hot pot with clear soup for sharing with seafood and rice (this is probably the best dish for the night; but I’m not sure how it can go wrong with hotpot. The chef could have put in more effort, including making some sauce or something. Rather than expecting us to eat hot pot in a private course meal experience ). 5th course - sweet dessert soup (nothing to shout about).
Overall, it was quite disappointing including the service. The waiter that served us could not understand English, Malay and Mandarin. One of the instances is that upon us telling him to let the birthday girl pop the champagne, he popped it.

Read moreA Chinese Omakase restaurant. We were excited to try it out. To enter the restaurant, you would need a password from them. The excitement was building up while you are walking up the stairs. As we entered the private dining rooms, we were rather disappointed with the decor. The lighting was poorly done with flashing lights that kept changing hue. The dinner started with Yee Sang, which was quite acceptable. Tangy sauce and fresh julienne of vegetables. The next was double boiled soup. That was good. Well balanced. This was followed up by a fusion of shashimi prawn with fried prawn head. It was just quite average. The rest of the dinner just went downhill from there. The Sultan fish served was not cooked properly as there was a hint of red. I think the worst was what looked like a homemade steam beancurd with octopus and bonito flakes. It's pretty tasteless. The final nail was the dessert. It looked like a mango juice with sago that tasted grainy. Overall food quality was not up to Omakase standard. Staff were not trained properly as you can see the way they handled the...
Read morePaid RM399 per person for an 'omakase' experience - which turned out to be a 9 course chinese dining in an ambience reminiscent of a dated 90's karaoke bar and food that is just a repetition of any subpar chinese streetside restaurant in KL. There is no finesse in food presentation, and the ingredients are common. You'd expect some kind of luxurious ingredient for RM399 - maybe some oysters, or abalone, maybe half a lobster.. perhaps a good side of wagyu... but we were served steamed lady's fingers as one of the dishes. The shrimps were tiny salted finger sized. Roasted goose was overly salted with a heavy meaty odor. Beef was uncomfortably too fatty. Very disappointing experience. The chef appeared once to the room and to demonstrate his skill in frying hokkien noodles. That was bold of him to assume that we would be impressed with him weakly stirring a wok of noodles on a camping stove. (Please see attached video) Compared to this disappointing experience the difficulty in parking here is just a minor criticism. I will certainly never...
