Restoran Chilli's Crab — Restaurant in Petaling Jaya

Worst seafood restaurant ever. Ordered their famous kam heong crab, salted egg sotong, and mixed vegetable.

I love eating crabs so I decided to give this place a try since the reviews are high.

The crab sauce was so so, but the crabs were not fresh at all! The meat was not the usual chunks but it was like slimy and mushy. When I cracked the shell open, smelly fluids leaked out. The waiter told me it’s cos it was steamed hence the liquid juice. But I’ve had crabs so many times and even cook them at home. This is definitely not how it should look or smell if it was fresh. I left almost the whole plate untouched.

The sotong (squid) - it was hard like rubber and absolutely tasteless. I am very sure it was frozen for many days or perhaps weeks prior to cooking.

The vege was the only thing edible.

Total bill = rm100.

Worse rm100 I’ve ever spent on seafood so terrible.

If I could give 0 star I would. But I’ll give it a 1 star As some of the waiters...

Came around 9pm and ordered the lunch set. Ordered through their QR code and opted for Take-away. However food arrived for Dine-in but it’s fine.

They had many options for dishes (without rice) including kam heomg chicken. I was craving for kam heong chicken but on the online menu, lunch set for kam heong chicken was not existent. All dishes had their lunch menu set except for kam heong chicken.

I asked two different waiters twice if they have kam heong chicken with rice but they said no. A part of them looked like they were uninterested to entertain a party of one. They offered kam heong beehun menu and i asked if i could switch to rice instead but they said cannot also :’)

I just find it really weird but anyways i ordered chicken sambal with rice and it was good. Looking forward to try their chili crab...

Booked this place for 2 person, and then the guy in-charge was speaking with a high note, asking about my number many times as if he did not understand clearly. After the confirmation of booking, guy in-charge ended the call without telling me what's next. After my arrival around 7pm, we looked through the reservation name on empty tables and couldn't find my name. Asked the girl in-charge but she spoken to us with a high note asking "Kenapa tak order ??", putting the blame on us. Waited for 5 mins infront of the restaurant, but the waiters did nothing to get us a place. Felt frustrated, went to look for another restaurant to break fast and finally found a nice Chinese Muslim cuisine that treated us like their family. Thanks for the half-a-star treatment Chilli's CRAB. Unsure what did this restaurant did to...
