Must-Try Meals in Pulau Redang! If you're staying at Taaras, don't miss the chance to experience this local gem. This restaurant offers simply delicious food that we couldn't resist enjoying for three nights straight! Their sotong goreng tepung (fried squid) is incredibly fresh, and the ikan bakar (grilled fish) is absolutely amazing. To avoid any wait, it's best to message them beforehand and place your order. The friendly owner even offers convenient pick-up and drop-off services to your hotel. Their exceptional hospitality and delicious food make this restaurant a must-visit for any Pulau Redang traveler. We can't wait to return!

(Italian below!) Second day in a row coming here, and it never disappoints! The food is amazing and genuinely authentic. Today we tried the Nasi Goreng Ayam Kunyit and the Nasi Goreng Tom Yam—both were absolutely amazing. Yesterday home noodles! We came back once more, and we had Nasi Goreng Biasa, Nasi Goreng Udang, and Udang Goreng Kunyit. The spiciness was perfectly balanced—not too much, just right—and the flavors were spot on. Everything tasted fresh, authentic, and full of local character. Very nice as always! Absolutely recommended if you’re looking for a real and genuine local taste. This place is a must-stop! It might take a little while for the food to arrive, but it is so worth the wait. ~~ Secondo giorno di fila che veniamo qui, e non delude mai! Il cibo è fantastico e autentico. Oggi abbiamo provato il Nasi Goreng Ayam Kunyit e il Nasi Goreng Tom Yam: entrambi stupendi. Ieri noodles della casa! Siamo tornati ancora una volta e abbiamo preso Nasi Goreng Biasa, Nasi Goreng Udang e Udang Goreng Kunyit. Piccante al punto giusto, senza esagerare, e con un sapore davvero buono. Tutto fresco, autentico e con quel gusto locale che ci piace tanto. Sempre una garanzia! Consigliatissimo per chi vuole provare qualcosa di veramente genuino. Un posto dove vale la pena fermarsi! Magari l’attesa è un po’ lunga, ma ne vale davvero la pena.

We were staying at The Taaras and walked over here for dinner - t took us about 15 - 20 minutes. After a long day of travel, we decided to go with our usual local comfort food: nasi goreng kampung, nasi goreng kerabu, maggi campur, tomyam campur. Unfortunately, the fried calamari wasn’t available that day. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. We’d definitely come back again to try the calamari and ikan bakar on our next trip to Redang!

Ordered CKT kerang, though the kerang was small it may vary depending on the season. The restaurant staffs were also friendly and willing to recommend their signature dish such as the Nasi Goreng Sotong Terbang. Other than that, this restaurant feels like any other “Tomyam Restaurant” that you would find in West Malaysia. Overall the food was affordable, tasty and deserve more recognition plus it is way better than the foods in Taaras Resort...
