Ombakredang Beach Side Cafe' — Restaurant in Pulau Redang

Very nice place to eat and drink, but also a very helpful owner that can pick you up and bring you back at Taaras resort and will also go with you to the turtle area or the coral reef in the bay. The food is excellent and they even can make some french fries for the kids. Nice owner with his wife and two kids, their spot feels really at home. Don't expect fancy tables and chairs, but rather cosy chairs and benches at wooden tables. All very nice, but foremost very friendly atmosphere. If you ask they can give their mobile number so you can call then to pick you up. Oh, and did I mention it is cheap? From Taaras it is a 20 minutes walk over a small road through the forest, or a 15 minutes swim around the rocks to the beach. Besides the turtle area where you will definitely see some turtles, there is a nice coral reef on the far right...

Avoided eating dinner at Taaras resort during our stay due to all the bad reviews on TripAdvisor and friends who were here recently. Instead, we enjoyed our simple yet very fresh and perfectly grilled fish and squid cooked by the friendly owners of Ombak Redang. Call them 1-2 days beforehand to make dinner arrangements as they don't get enough customers during dinner time. We managed to get a lift from them - major plus as the road leading to Turtle beach does not have any...
