Had lunch here a few weeks back. Been wanting to have steak for a while and was looking forward to this because the reviews seemed very encouraging.
Overall, it wasn’t bad but there are other better options at this price point if you’re willing to travel to Hartamas or TTDI, in my humble opinion. Even more so when i found out why there are so many 5 star reviews. You get a free scoop of ice cream if you leave a 5 star google review 🤣
Let’s start with the good stuff. Service was fantastic, the staff were very friendly and very helpful. They explained the different cuts of meats very well and they constantly checked up on us to make sure everything was fine.
Now onto the food, it wasn’t bad but for the price you’re paying, i really was expecting better. It starts off at RM79 i think for the 150g cut but that’s a bit too small for me. For 300g, prices range from RM139-RM300+ (if i can recall correctly), and this is for Australian meat. I didn’t bother with the Wagyu stuff because I was never going to spend that much to begin with. Went for the strip loin and it wasn’t bad by any stretch of the imagination but it lacked flavour and wasn’t very tender. The sides were somewhat flat as well; the roasted veggies were bland, fries were good but the portion wasn’t great. Couldn’t fault the grilled pineapples though haha. The steak DID NOT satisfy my cravings at all as I left feeling wanting.
Bottom line, it was okay but i wouldn’t come back, that’s for sure. I’d be happier spending my money...
Read moreIf you're looking for a great place to break your fast during Ramadan, House of Grill by Chef Razman is definitely worth checking out. The restaurant offers a wonderful selection of dishes that are perfect for sharing with a group of six people.
To start, I highly recommend trying out the kurma ajwa served with some traditional kuihs and premium fruits. It's a dish that's perfect for breaking your fast.
Next, the appetizers are a must-try. The nasi impit goreng bali is seasoned with spices.
For the main course, I recommend trying out the sirloin dendeng minang kabau or the ayam percik. Both dishes are incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. The dendeng are juicy and tender, while the ayam percik ribs are fall-off-the-bone tender.
To complete the meal, be sure to save room for dessert. The restaurant offers a delicious selection of sweets, including the pandan pannacotta. The pannacotta is soft and gooey on the inside, with just the right amount of sweetness of gula melaka and pandan freshness.
Overall, the food at House of Grill by Chef Razman is excellent, and the portions are generous, making it perfect for sharing with a group of six people. The service is also outstanding, with friendly and attentive staff who are always on hand to ensure that your dining experience is a memorable one. Read moreI had the pleasure of experiencing the Iftar buffet at this restaurant, and I must say, it was a delightful culinary journey. The spread was impressive, offering a wide variety of dishes that catered to all tastes and preferences. From fresh salads and hearty soups to deliciously spiced rice and flavorful appetizers, there was something for everyone. However, what truly stood out were the main courses, particularly the steak and lamb shank.
The steak was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy with a rich, smoky flavor that came from being grilled just right. Each bite melted in my mouth, and the seasoning was spot on, enhancing the natural taste of the meat without overpowering it. The lamb shank, on the other hand, was a true masterpiece. It was slow-cooked to perfection, so tender that it practically fell off the bone. The flavors were deep and complex, with a perfect balance of spices that didn’t overshadow the rich taste of the lamb. The service was equally exceptional, with attentive staff ensuring that our glasses were never empty and our plates were always replenished promptly.
Overall, it was an unforgettable dining experience. The combination of outstanding food and impeccable service made it an Iftar buffet worth...
