First of all, I agree with all the reviews before me. ATTRACTION: Assam Pedas Soup and slice fish with multiple choices of preparing the carbo, mee hoon, noodle, rice etc. Been to this place even before I got married, and this kedai has been in town for decades. SERVICE: they have loyal workers indeed. They're okay PRICE: Well bring RM10++ and above at most per person, u might need chilled drink if you can't handle the spiciness.

I dropped by Kedai Kopi Dan Makan Fui Lau around 11 AM on a weekday, and although it wasn’t peak breakfast time, the place was still lively with customers enjoying their meals. The kopitiam has a warm, no-fuss charm—simple tables, ceiling fans spinning away, and a steady buzz of conversation in the air. I ordered the Kon Lou Mien and the Asam Pedas Sup Isi Babi. The Kon Lou Mien came with perfectly springy noodles, tossed in a light but flavorful sauce, and served with tender slices of pork. It was well-balanced—savory with just the right hint of sweetness, and not greasy at all. The Asam Pedas Sup Isi Babi was the real standout for me. The broth had a tangy, spicy kick that wakes up the taste buds without being overpowering. The pork slices were tender and soaked up the soup’s rich flavor beautifully. I could taste the freshness of the ingredients, and the sour-spicy blend was comforting yet exciting. Service was friendly and efficient. My food came out in under 10 minutes despite the crowd. Prices are reasonable for the quality—definitely value for money. Overall, Kedai Kopi Dan Makan Fui Lau is worth a visit if you’re craving a hearty, flavorful meal in a relaxed setting. I’d gladly come back for the Asam Pedas and try more of their noodle dishes. Rating: 5/5

I have mix feelings about this place. The asam pedas fish noodles was really good a few years back, but now it just taste like noodles in spicy broth added with vinegar (you know, the clear color cuka-buatan kind). And with just a few slivers of fish and toufu, finding it hard to justify the price point. Oo well, this is MHO, and would appreciate if anybody can direct me to a good asam pedas fish noodle place.
