We were supposed to meet another couple who flew in late at Tuaran. So when we got to the town, the first thing we did was to look for Tuaran Mee. With no reference whatsoever, we looked for the oldest looking shop - almost all shops looked old 😅 so we settled for the one aptly named with the famous dish from this town.

Price varies depending on what ingredients you order for the Mee - one has option for biasa, saunyuk (roast pork), seafood, daging, saunyuk campur, daging kering campur and kosong.

◾Mee Goreng is a must-order! The homemade noodle packed with wok hei although not much presentation. ◾Kon Lau Mee - basically noodle with concoction of dark sauce and topped with ingredients. Options for those who don't like their noodle dry.

Their fried noodle was definitely star of the show. They do have another branch in Inanam for those who don't feel like traveling far.

We also bought durian from a stall next door but the flavour didn't come close to...

It was the only tuaran Mee shop opened on reunion day of lunar new year. The tuaran Mee was not bad. The noodles have some wok hey to it. The ingredients were all good. However, it's still not fried to perfection as compared to the other legendary tuaran mee shops.

They are opened for a wide range of hours.

They do seafood tuaran Mee and any other type of meat fillings too. They also serve a wide range of dishes aside from tuaran mee. I believe they had soup as well.

The shopkeepers were all very friendly.

Tuaran has a few places selling tuaran mee n these one was a little disappointing. Tamparuli so called tuaran me is soooo much better. Further in to town there’s another much better place but its not to say it wasn’t good, just not the best for me n my taste buds. U hv 2go 2them to order which i hate n its ur typical coffee shop style.
