One of the most unique Fuchow dishes I ever tried. Ordered Sastion Wu Fish(Slice Senangin Fish with shredded Bamboo/Mengkuan in house special sauce), Signature Taufu Kang, House Fried Meehun and Mani Vegetable with egg. All were cooked with perfection. Also sharing are some pictures of other dishes available which I will say quite unique from years of travelling and trying new dishes in this part of the world. FYI, the only chef & 2nd owner already 73+ Yrs old and started cooking since 13 yrs old in this restaurant. Good news is that he still enjoys cooking good foods and intends to relocate this old restaurant to new premise soon. This old premise is very old but rate A in cleanliness by local health authority. Will definitely revisit if I am back to Sibu. Highly recommended if you are a foodie..

Since my first time in Sibu and were introduced by a friend and a YouTuber , I decided to try this 60+ years Chinese Fuchow cuisine restaurant it’s very popular and renowned among the locals . I catch a grab to the location but to my disappointment they moved to a new shop lot quite a distance away. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Called up and got their new address . I asked the rude waitress to introduce some dishes . Fuchow fried noodles , sweet and sour pork ribs, mushroom bamboo shoots, sio bee, Manchurian yam cake, fried sea cucumber w/eggs . Overall to me , it’s not bad but nothing special either . I only like their fried noodle quite similar to braised fried noodles but with wok hei goodness .Sio bee was over-rated .

My father's memory of Sibu dates back to the early 50s. This restaurant is part of that memory. Was initially reluctant to try it due to the low Google rating but am glad we tried. Ordered fish maw soup, midin, salted fish fat pork, sea cucumber and sio bi. The fish maw soup just hits my inner hokkien. It's like eating a good time capsule from the past and exactly how my family enjoys this gooey soup. The pork dish was good, not the Cantonese style but this isn't a Cantonese restaurant. Lastly, as I am typing this review back at my hotel, I wish I had ordered more than 5 sio bi.

We went there in the evening for family dinner (mid autumn festival). This is the first time we went there after they relocated to the new location at Jalan Aman.

The butter prawn ball does taste good, although the outlook is not so well appetising. However, other dishes are of mediocre. We ordered stir fried milian (paku), steamed fish(teochew style), fried noodle (Foochow style), Siew mai/sao mai and Bean curd soup.

As for the Atmosphere, is of an economic coffee shop setting. But the price we paid is of a premium restaurant charge. To be fair, there is another section of the restaurant which was set up in a nicer modern restaurant setting. Probably the feel might be a bit different if I have a chance to dine in the other section.

Overall, my comment is,...
