Kawan Hotel — Hotel in Borneo

Kawan Hotel is located behind the more recognise hotel Kingwood in Sibu town. Within walking distance to the Esplanade (Rajang River bank). Just 5 minutes from the hotel. Very small room for standard double bed, roughly only 12 ft x 12 ft. Anyway the bathroom is quite spacious with hot and cold water. The water pressure was strong. Plenty of power points, 4 power points all together. Really surprised me. They used to have complementary breakfast, but maybe due to slow bussines the closed the restaurant. Stated complementary coffee & tea facilities but was not provided in the room. Limited parking space. Nice spacious lobby. There are many restaurants nearby the hotel. Value for money. The room is clean and tidy. For RM75 double bed..., I would like to...

The family room that we stay in are spacious and the with the rate that we are paying it is cheap but the room are not well maintain, the furniture looks old and dusty, the bedding sunk, tea & sugar provided but no coffee? and room stuffy, the bath room design are awkward. Let me try to explain. The bath tub are located atop of some kind "little stage" where you need to climb up of sort not our typical bath tub where it is located on the floor. The whole design of the bath room are "insane" wonder who is the designer. The corridor and the public area are clean, it only the room that need serious attention. The staff, The need training, they are not courteous and friendly, the uniform are too short for hotel...
