I will never stay at this hotel again. The only reason I’ve been coming back year after year is its proximity to the bus station, but every single time it fails to meet even the most basic expectations. Each time I request a hairdryer, I receive the same ridiculous excuse: it's been borrowed by other guests and hasn't been returned. This is utterly unacceptable. I’ve repeatedly asked the hotel to set a specific time limit for hairdryer use so that everyone can have access, but despite my complaints, nothing ever changes. This time was no different. I arrived late, and without the ability to dry my hair, I had no choice but to go to bed. The rooms always reek of smoke. When I requested a room change, I was told the hotel was fully booked and the best they could offer was air freshener. After waiting forever, no one showed up, so I had to go down and get it myself, only to find the smoke smell lingering again soon after. To my shock, I was told that smoking is actually allowed in the rooms. This is completely unacceptable. I’ve had enough. After five years of no improvements, I will never return. I would rather pay for a Grab to another hotel than endure this nonsense again. I am deeply disappointed...
Read moreStaying at Li Hua made us feel like we got thrown back into the 80s in China:||You are allowed to smoke in the rooms (so if you don't smoke you better ask for a non smoking room as the smell sticks with the rooms), furniture and restaurant area looked rather out-dated and the whole style suggests that the place hasn't undergone much of a modern revolution since opened.||Nevertheless: the room was clean, the staff helpful and friendly enough, the beds comfy and they even got room service. There was also a little fridge, TV, aircon and a kettle with cups. ||Less than 5 minute walk from ferry terminal, convenience store out the front and markets and sights can be reached within 10 minutes. Also a nice harbour view!||Only downfall were a couple of chipped tiles in the bathroom, the sink was sitting loose on its base and the shower doors were quite stubborn when it came to closing and opening them.||Definitely recommended for people travelling through on a budget, we paid RM27 each for one night which equals about AU$8. Read moreI have stayed here more than thrice. Upgrade my rating from 4 to 5 since this hotel is value for money compared to the other hotels combined together in Sibu. I am shocked to see that some of the room is having mini bar. It is interesting for a hotel room at this price. Really satisfied. No non smoking rooms but the rooms I stayed is not heavy in smell of the cigarettes. Clean and tidy.
So far, I got a room not right beside the noisy night club beside the hotel. All the time of my staying, this hotel staff are friendly and accommodating.
View from this hotel is superb akin to Tanahmas,Kingwood, and RH Hotels.
