A&W Caltex Puncak Alam — Restaurant in Selangor

The place is very clean and neat. It's not too crowdy at all.. The cashier is nice too.. It's definitely different from 2-3month ago.. The parking are hard to get but I am probably lucky because when I have dinner here, they are not many people inside..

First of all, from 14 stars out of 15 stars (a years ago), and today, it becomes 7 stars out of 15 stars..

Why? First, we could see who their priorities here..

During puasa 2024, saya berbuka puasa di sini.. I come here at 7:00pm and the maghrib is at 7:26pm.. And I get my food at 7:50pm.. Which is 50 min after my order and almost half an hour after berbuka..

Yes, you might think that the restaurant is full.. But you are wrong.. At that time, there were only 5 families, some had 4 people, some had 3 people and some had 2 people (all is a muslim who came to berbuka).. And I, myself, is one of the earliest ones arrived and even I got my food pretty late..

You might be wondering why we get it late? Well, the priorities go to their staff members and drive-thru customer.. The staff get the food first for themselves to berbuka puasa while we, the customer in the restaurant have to wait quite a long time.. They don't even serve water or our drink first..

I saw and heard myself that the cashier took the order for a drive-thru customer, and somehow, they got the food first.. While the customer in the restaurant has been ignored.. I got 30min after berbuka and I can't imagine how long the fifth family needs to wait..

So, the service here sure has dropped.. Why don't I use drive-thru??

I ordered curly fries but was served regular fries instead. When I inquired about it, the staff casually mentioned that curly fries were out of stock without offering an apology or any acknowledgment of the inconvenience caused. This experience was frustrating, I paid for curly fries however ended up receiving regular fries which I believe is unacceptable as the two fries would have a different price. Even worse without prior notice and lack of basic courtesy and professionalism from the staff. I hope A&W Puncak Alam takes this feedback seriously to improve customer service and ensure better communication and accountability in the future.

I went through the A&W drive-thru, and it was such a great experience! The ordering process was fast and easy, the staff were polite and cheerful, and my food was ready in no time. Everything was hot, fresh, and packed neatly, perfect for on-the-go.

The highlight, as always, was the frosty mug root beer even in a takeout cup, it tasted just as refreshing and nostalgic. My coneys was juicy, the curly fries were perfectly seasoned, and nothing was missing from my order (a big plus for drive-thru!).
