The food is decently tasty and we are just glad service was quick. Fish is more than 1 kg and opted for chicken dish.
Food: Petai Vegetables: This dish seems interesting with the combination of petai (stinky beans), okra, eggplant, and long beans. While the price might be high, it could be due to the unique ingredients. The taste being "acceptable" means it wasn't bad, and lacked something to make it truly memorable; maybe more than 5 petai seeds, lesser long beans, add four angled beans and just a touch of the salty chilli small prawn paste will do. Chicken: Crunch and similar chilli paste as vegetable. Tofu fried Thai sauce- my favourite. Sauce was sweet, sprigs of raw carrots and onion cut the taste of salty dishes. Surroundings: Restaurant Interior: a positive experience with a clean, cool, and tidy atmosphere. This creates a comfortable dining environment. Backstreet: The exterior seems less appealing with tar road needing repair and cats scavenging nearby. This can detract from the overall dining experience. Overall: The clean interior and interesting petai dish are positives, and the lack of petai in an expectant petai dish and less pleasant backstreet might make you consider other options. Additional thoughts: As the menu was only in Chinese, will it be better to add English too? The restaurant did well in maintaining cleanliness inside the four walls, will it be better to extend sense of cleanliness in the toilet, back lanes? Well, running a successful restaurant business of 2 shop lots takes a lot of time, energy, co-ordination. Does it make good business sense to improve further on other aspects besides the good taste of food?

Read moreBanned this restaurant —where the toilet's odor is unforgettable, and the smoky haze makes every breath feel like a challenge! Something very unpleasant happened on 15th March2025. When my family and I stepped into the restaurant, we were immediately surrounded by a hazy, smoky environment (We entered the room on the left with air conditioning and although there was air conditioning, it has two exits with no door: one leads outside, and the other leads to the next door (which is also their restaurant).
Halfway through the meal, the situation worsened. Thick smoke was rolling in, and it wasn't coming from outside. Since we were sitting closer to the inside, we could clearly see the thick smoke seeping in from next door (which is also their restaurant). The noticeable smell is smoke from burning things in the restaurant. In that suffocating environment, we quickly finished our meal and wanted to leave ASAP.
When I asked the boss why there was such heavy smoke, she replied that it was just the smell of cooking, with no sign of apology.
I have now banned this restaurant! I won't be...
Read moreThe place is indeed a hidden gem. Searched online and decided to try it for lunch with family on a Sunday. Highly recommended.
Arrived quarter to 12pm and we were the first. The boss was very friendly. He was kind enough to prepare our table and introduce signature dishes to us.
The photos on the wall were very good illustration of the signature dishes.
We ordered steam fish head (RM35), seafood platter - prawns, clams and squids (RM95), mongolian style pork (RM30), salted egg chicken (RM33), steam eggs (RM16) and vege mix (22) for 7 adults 4 children.
The family loved the dishes. We like all the food we ordered. The place was actually getting crowded starting 12pm. By the time we finished, the shoplot was already full and customers had to sit at the...
