Giggles & Geeks — Restaurant in Sepang

This is my second time at Giggles and Gates. This time, I brought my family to celebrate my mom’s birthday. I’ve been here before with my friends for our birthday celebration, and now I wanted to share the experience with my family.

We arrived around 2 PM on the weekend, and we didn’t need a reservation. We ordered almost all the main dishes, and one thing for sure—the portions here are huge! Overall, the food was good.

But there are a few things that could be improved:

Fish and Chips – They only serve it with mayo, but I think tartar sauce would be a better match. We asked for it, but they didn’t have any.

Black Pepper Sauce – The sauce for the fried chicken and burger was too watery. It would taste better if it was thicker and richer.

Pasta – The marinara pasta was okay, but not amazing. Same with the fettuccine carbonara—just creamy, nothing special.

Garlic Fried Rice – It was decent, especially with the karaage chicken and sambal (which tasted like nasi lemak sambal).

No Lamb Dishes – We noticed that there were no lamb chops or any lamb-related main dishes available on the menu at the moment, which was a bit disappointing.

The portions are really big, so the price might seem a bit high, but I think it’s reasonable for what you get. However, for some items like salmon or other premium dishes, the pricing does lean towards the higher side.

Lastly, I asked the staff for a small birthday surprise for my mom, and they brought out two of their best-selling cakes—Chocolate Indulgence and Red Velvet. They even wished her a happy birthday, which was a nice touch! Someone, maybe the manager or marketing staff, also took photos of us and other customers. Maybe they just wanted to...

Nice ambience, tasty food, friendly staff.

Portion is plentyyyy we have to tapau back home. Single plate can eat for two pax.

Make sure you eat while the foods are still hot hot hot!

Totally worth the price.

Plus point, got little play area for kids so parents can have a date night!

Pastries look deliciousss but most of them got coconut - so we didnt have them. Maybe next time if we come and got chocolate tart without coconut we’ll try it.

Update: Came again for second time. Worth every penny.

But kids play area no more. They said bcs all toys are broken so they removed the area. Should replace the toys instead of removing the play area altogether. So sad bcs we came to have “me time” while kids are playing at the play area.

Also, quite dissapointed bcs the weekend promo (beef burger 30% off on Mondays, lamb shank 50% off for tuesday, steak 50% off for wednesday) can’t be claimed bcs they said it’s Public Hols. Didn’t see the T&C term displayed anywhere and the on-table-promo-card thingy also displayed the promo eventhough cannot claim. Why display, though?

Next, some menus are already N/A - removed permenantly like the crispy chicken chop. Appreciate if the restaurant can update the menu on the website as well otherwise will just pile on our disappointment in every visit.

So for these reasons, I reduced the star rating by 1 star for this visit.

I had lunch at this place last week with my parents, and truth be told the restaurant does not have much options in their menu. This is something they should work on as they have a lot of potential in thriving their business forward.

Other than that, I had ordered the Beef Burger last Monday, and they mentioned in a promo picture that there is a 30% off for the Beef Burger. I asked the cashier about the 30% but it was not applicable on Public Holiday.

My advise to the management of Giggle & Geeks is that please ensure that your T&C for your discounts is written clearly. There were a few others customers who asked the same thing, and they were disappointed as well. This is the only downside during my visit to Giggle & Geeks.

Sincerely, I won't be coming again anytime soon due to lack of options on their menu, their poor promotional activities, and lack of proper communication by your staffs in explaining your reasons behind the rejection of the discounts. If you look into the picture attached at this review it said "EVERY MONDAY".
