While other meats were passable, you could tell they were close to expiring. Both my boyfriend and I ended up with food poisoning the next day, which was incredibly concerning.
As for the soups we tried both the mala and their signature “butter-based” soup. The signature one came out coagulated and tasted unpleasant. The mala was decent but lacked depth and flavor.

Read moreOne of the relatively new restaurant in Tamarind. Usually it's full of hipster/try-hard expensive eateries, but this around it's the complete opposite; the price is relatively cheap compared to the usual all-you-can-eat.
The soup choices are nice, the selection is plenty and the proteins are standard (chicken/beef/lamb/fish). All in all taste is good without major downsides.
However, one aspect that is rather unpleasant is the environment, the ventilation is non-existent, it can get very hot and stuffy, and the proteins are not optimised for bbq; it's kinda all clumped up together and will take some time to cook.
