The food is considered as delicious but somehow is too oily. The most frustrating part is that every time you visit the restaurant you have the give 5star rating or good review at here or Facebook even you did not have pleasure experience with them. The cashier will “block” your way and ask you to give the rating before leave the restaurant (as she told me that this is one of their rules to eat the RM 1 promotion) My total is bill is around RM180, I am not just coming to eat your RM 1 promotion somemore you have T&C with min spend of RM30. I am just wondering what if I have made the review using my both acc at google and facebook? Do I have to create lots of Google and Facebook accounts before I visit to this restaurant? And their service to customers really need improvement.. I told them one of my beverage was tasteless and ask them to put some sugar. When they brought back my drinks and I took a big sip, so many crystallised sugar at the bottom of the glass.. I am unaware of this and have a mild choke, what if I let my elderly mother or my child to have a sip?.. Super...
Read moreThere are a few mainland Chinese restaurants in Setia Alam which we tend to patron frequently, now I have to add this to the list! This restaurant has been opened for about a year now and I’ve only recently tried it.
Generally, you can request for the spiciness to be toned down which is great for Malaysian palette. I loved everything we ordered and the presentation gets A+ for effort! My only comment is that the prices are on the slightly upper end, eg vege at RM38 but meat is RM48, the ten bucks difference is puzzling.
Pork intestines- a good appetite starter Sichuan Stir Fry Frog - Frog bits are small and soft Pork ribs - looks tough but wow-ed us by how tender it is, older folks can eat this Long beans - nice but pricey compared to actual fish Fish - fresh and soft
Idk the actual names of the food but the menu has big pictures of the dishes which would help in your decision-making. Good place for big family group. Ambience is nice save and except the lukewarm air coming out from the aircon even though we were the last customers in...
Read moreFlavorful suan cai yu, lots of variety, large portion sizes, and sufficient use of the sichuan peppercorn and chili. Their pumpkin pie (pumpkin glutinous rice with red bean filling) is freshly fried so it's served hot and crispy (not too sweet, nice mouthful texture, the sesame seed is fragrant).
However, other dishes we had was just ok; Salted Egg Yolk pumpkin is sweet - (chef added sugar 😱), stir fried eggplant has good texture but a bit bland (though this balances out the saltiness from suan cai yu), scallion cold steam chicken (a bit tough and without the scallion oil is bland).
Menu is bilingual 👏👏👏 (great benefit for non Chinese readers).
Restaurant is fully air conditioned, and has sufficient space gaps between tables to avoid feeling congested. Service is very fast and servers are extremely responsive...
