Finding a restaurant in Setia Alam that offers both authentic and delicious dishes along with an impeccably clean environment is no small feat. Yet, this Ho Hong Kee Ipoh Chicken Rice effortlessly surpassed all my expectations. My first visit left me utterly captivated not only by the culinary delights but also by the outstanding cleanliness of the establishment.
The shrimp and chicken sliver hor fun I ordered, as well as the smooth white chicken rice accompanied by bean sprouts and a soft-boiled egg, were a tribute to my taste buds. The strategic sprinkle of pepper on the hor fun not only enhanced the flavor complexity but also made the dish visually more appealing. The chicken was tender and smooth, a testament to the high-quality dishes one can enjoy here. The signature Hainanese coffee added a perfect finishing touch to the meal, making every sip a joy.
Equally impressive was the level of cleanliness throughout the restaurant. From the tables and utensils to the overall environment, everything was maintained in a pristine condition, greatly enhancing the dining experience. It’s clear that the owner takes great pride not only in the quality of the food but also in maintaining a clean and hygienic dining area.
I highly recommend Ho Hong Kee Ipoh Bean Sprout Chicken Rice to all diners, not just for the unforgettable dishes but also for the comfortable and clean dining environment. I plan to return to try more of their offerings. Looking forward to my next meal, to continue exploring more delicious dishes and enjoying the clean and...
Read moreHad considered ourselves as loyal customers considering that we have been eating with them since they were at HuaHee Kopitiam, later moved inside Michi, then now opening their new store.
Their shredded chicken noodle is unique with a strong flavour of prawn infused in their soup, and its kuey teow compliments it with its tenderness. Despite of the above average price of food, we enjoyed eating it as its really flavourful. However up till recently, the soup became bland with not much flavour, kuey teow is tough, most importantly... service was not good. The guy at the counter is forever playing his phone, doesn't even understood kopi C kosong... twice with still sugar... even the staffs felt like they had no heart in working when we wanted to call them... noodles served without chili.... Drinks came in mid way finishing the noodle... very disappointed seeing the quality...
Read moreIpoh style steam chicken but provided Dark Soy Sauce, yes!
The Ipoh Style chicken is nice, and less oily compared with the Ipoh one (the most famous two), bean sprout ok, prawn wanton so so okok (actually I'm prawn wanton fan, hopefully they can improve the quality in future), Onsen egg is okok (not so Japanese), staff and service is ok, price is reasonable in Setia Alam, quite clean, chill and comfortable seated at night time. Guy Boss kind of friendly.
Very satisfied, and the Chinese Tea Ice after the meal is refreshing.
Good place for garlic lover. Already on my revisit list.
Friendly reminder: they don't accept credit cards, only cash and e wallet. Do make a remark "less fried garlic"for your food if you don't like garlic.
Revisit: Porkchop rice so so okok, better choose chicken rice....
