ZUS Coffee - Setia Taipan 2, Setia Alam — Restaurant in Shah Alam

First time, and will be my last time here. Ive been an avid zus coffee fan, ive always ordered with my tumbler. Thus, it became a habit to click order using the mentioned voucher. Just so happen that today i forgot to bring it. After thoroughly explaining, and negotiating to hand the coffee in a regular cup, i was asked to refund the order instead-as ‘tumbler voucher’ was used. I had to wait some time as the ‘bot’ couldnt get on with the issue. After some time, i got an email saying it has been refunded. It isnt about the refund, the service sucked and humiliating. One cup wont kill nobody, and i am not a fraudulent customer to begin with. The barista was super helpful and strongly apologized tho it wasnt her fault. The other lady-probably supervisor? didnt bother asking or checking more facts, blatantly said-refund, and discussed with manager, since the order was such n such. For a cup? Not worth it. Had a short meeting in this nicely laid out and decorated cafe. The ambiance was pleasant, however, counter staff appeared flustered, and did not call out my name when our order was ready, no thanks to the non-stop Food Panda orders, and the steady stream of walk-ins that afternoon.

I ordered my usual Double Espresso, and from the cashiers facial expression, I can tell straight away that I must be the first person to order this most basic drink. Pretty disappointed that they served me a black coloured, watery slurry, that was extremely bitter till it made me tear up, without any sign of a crema.

I wonder if its the coffee machine, the coffee beans they use, the grind size or the Barista? Hmmm.......

Place is okay deco and coffee nothing to be surprised about cos it is the same as coffee chain with other Zus totally affordable with luxury taste. Location wise is okay but the phone network on the other hand is disaster for digi user here. Maybe it isnt zus setia alam’s fault but why would a coffee goer who is always doing something on the phone would hang out around this coffee chain? Wifi is also almost useless. No. I’ll just stick to the other Zus coffee shop never had problems there. The staffs here are also not friendly at all. You can check how i always compliment the other Zus staffs at different branches via their app. But this setia alam branch? Nothing to compliment about their barista/staffs. Since this is a new place so theres still a lot of room to improve on the service then....
