We visited this place on a weekday morning after seeing it introduced on Facebook. Parking is very limited in this area, with cars parked along the road, so be sure not to obstruct traffic or entrances.
The place is a bit rundown and not very clean, with many cigarette butts on the floor indicating a lot of smokers. Despite the ban on smoking at eateries, it appears that the Ministry of Health (MOH) doesn't enforce it, and many establishments don't comply, which is a nuisance for people with young children and those sensitive to smoke.
Now, to the main reason for our visit: the food. The Wantan Noodles were quite good, with springy noodles and decent soup and wantans. However, the green pickled chillies were not fresh and tasteless.
The busiest stall here is the Pork Noodle stall. We ordered Soup Pork Noodles, Wat Tan Hor (Flat Rice Noodles in Egg Gravy), and Cantonese Sang Mee with pork as the main ingredient. The portions were generous, and the prices were affordable. However, the soup and gravy were too sweet (sugary sweet) for our liking, and we had trouble finishing our meals. It seems that this taste might be more suited to the locals, as most diners were ordering from this stall.
We also tried the Yong Tau Foo, which was freshly made and fried on the spot. It was not exceptional...
