Kannaas Bamboo Masala Briyani Review
Kannaas Bamboo Masala Briyani offers a unique twist on traditional biryani, infusing bold flavors and an innovative cooking style that sets it apart from the usual offerings in the market. Located in a convenient area, this restaurant has quickly become a favorite for food enthusiasts who crave a flavorful and aromatic biryani experience.
Food Quality & Flavor The star of the show at Kannaas is, without a doubt, their Bamboo Masala Briyani. Served in bamboo shoots, the rice is infused with an aromatic blend of spices, which gives the dish a distinct, smoky flavor that is both rich and comforting. The biryani itself is prepared with high-quality basmati rice, perfectly spiced, and cooked to tender perfection. The chicken (or other meat options) is marinated well and cooked with care, ensuring each bite is packed with flavor. The bamboo imparts an extra layer of fragrance to the dish, elevating the traditional biryani to something truly special.
The masala is well-balanced, not too overpowering, with a subtle heat that builds up over time. Each grain of rice is coated in the flavorful blend of spices, ensuring that every forkful is a delightful combination of textures and tastes. Additionally, the accompaniments like the cooling raita and spicy pickle provide a perfect contrast to the richness of the biryani.
Service & Ambience Kannaas Bamboo Masala Briyani offers a casual and welcoming dining environment. The staff is friendly and attentive, always ready to explain the menu or assist with recommendations. Whether you’re dining in or opting for takeout, the service is swift, and the food is always served piping hot.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is simple, with an emphasis on comfort and functionality rather than over-the-top decor. The dining space is cozy, and there’s a pleasant hustle and bustle that adds to the overall vibrant experience.
Value for Money While Kannaas’ Bamboo Masala Briyani might be slightly pricier than standard biryani joints, it is undoubtedly worth the extra cost. The portions are generous, and the unique presentation in the bamboo shoots, along with the high quality of ingredients, justify the pricing. It’s a great place for those looking for a memorable dining experience with exceptional flavors.
Conclusion Kannaas Bamboo Masala Briyani stands out as an exceptional take on the beloved biryani. With its unique presentation, rich spices, and high-quality ingredients, it offers something special for both biryani aficionados and newcomers alike. If you're in the mood for a flavorful and innovative twist on this classic dish, Kannaas is the place to go. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys a hearty, aromatic, and truly memorable...
Read moreI’m not a person who writes reviews ever! but this place is no longer worth going. I know of this place since they were newly opened and the first few years they were the best bamboo Briyani in town, I’ve visited them numerous times but since after Covid their quality has tremendously declined. Nothing is good not the Briyani nor the drinks. I used to be a fan of their prawn Briyani and they used to serve up to 6 big juicy prawns now I get about 5 small dry prawns. Their briyani used to be filled with masala but now it’s dry. I was there just yesterday hoping that they might have made some changes but nothing got better and today I’m having diarrhoea from their food. There was once I even found a small bug/cockroach in their Briyani halfway through eating it, this was quiet sometime back. I’ve forgotten about until now since I’m writing review. They charged RM3.50 for a Honey Lemon drink, I can bet there was no honey in the drink it was Lemon water with ice. I think a person can differentiate between honey lemon and just a lemon drink but wow they stood their ground saying they added little honey in it and what not. Me and my husband are food enthusiasts and we enjoy good food, we love to pay the best fare for good food and services but this place is no longer worth any of that. What a waste and we are suffering with a very upset tummy. If possible I don’t want to give them any stars but you gotta give at least 1 right so yea, such a...
Read moreI recently visited this restaurant and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.
Food Quality & Safety: The food was not properly cooked. The mutton was not hot and seemed like it had been prepared long before being served. My entire family experienced stomach issues after consuming the food, including the takeaway briyani which caused diarrhea, vomiting, and stomach pain.
Hygiene & Cleanliness: The restaurant itself was not clean, with visible dust around. Cats were roaming in the dining area, and when we requested the staff to chase them away, one staff member hit the cat with his bare hand and then continued serving customers without washing his hands. This raised serious concerns about hygiene.
Kitchen & Preparation Area: The area from which the food was brought looked unclean and unhygienic, making us worry even more about food safety.
Overall, the experience was very unpleasant, and it felt like food was being treated more like fast food that had been pre-cooked and left out for too long. I sincerely hope the restaurant management takes this feedback seriously and improves food safety, cleanliness, and...
